WMAPlus! (the first wma player that also supports mp3, ogg, aac, amr, and mid) by Filamoon Workshop

Finally, here comes a WMA player! To the best of our knowledge, WMAPlus! is the first Symbian music player that can support Microsoft Window Media Audio (WMA) format.

WMAPlus! 1.0.0 The first wma player and more ...
    Overview
Finally, here comes a WMA player for symbian phones~~ WMAPlus! is an advanced music player for Symbian 7.0 (or higher) cell phones. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first Symbian music player that can support Microsoft''s Window Media Audio (WMA) format (well, except the expensive Nokia N91). Besides wma, WMAPlus! can also play most popular music files, such as mp3, ogg, aac, mp4, m4a, amr and mid. This is why we call this product WMAPlus!, because it can play wma plus others.
WMA is now becoming more and more popular. You can download musics in wma format from many websites. With Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 or 10, you can easily rip your favorite CDs to wma files. WMA files usually have better sound quality than mp3 files under low bit rates, such as 64 kbit/s. Generally, a 64 kbit/s 5-min wma file is only 1-2 MB long. This means you can carry more songs with your 64 MB MMC card! And the sound quality of 64 kbit/s wma files is pretty good. For higher bit rates, there is merely no difference in sound quality between wma and mp3.
Besides the low level wma support, WMAPlus! is an advanced player which has a very cool graphical interface and skinning support. It also has powerful playlist support, which can group songs with regard to artists, albums, subfolders, and pre-defined WINAMP .m3u playlist files. You can also remove songs from the playlist. WMAPlus! is very easy to use, most operations can be done through hotkeys or menus. You can put songs everywhere you like, including the inbox. It automatically searches all supported music files on all drives.
The trial version plays the first 30 seconds of each song and stops. All other features are the same as in the full version. Users who want to buy the software, please make sure your IMEI code (phone''s serial number) is ready and entered during the purchasing process. You can obtain your IMEI (15-digit) by pressing *#06# on your phone.?

    Features
Support for world''s most-popular music formats - wma, mp3, ogg, aac, mp4, m4a, amr and mid
User-friendly interface, powerful playlist support, and skinning support
Support random play and repeated play.
Set wma files as ring tone
    Streaming over bluetooth headsets
    Background playback

    How to use Main operations:
    Search the drives for songs.
Use UP and DOWN joystick keys to browse the playlist.
Press the joystick to pause/resume or play songs.
Use LEFT and RIGHT joystick keys to control the volume.
Press 4 to rewind and 6 to fastforward. Tips:
Press c to delete a file from the playlist.
Press * to go back to the previous playlist view.
Press 1 to return to the list of all song titles.
Press 2 to return to the list of all music files.
If you want to set a music file as ring tone, copy it to E:\sounds\digital or C:\Nokia\sounds\digital, and then choose it in the profile editor.
You can lock the keyboard when WMAPlus! is running. This will not affect the playback.
If WMAPlus! fails to play some files which should be supported, please use the codec selection dialog to choose proper decoders. The wma decoder''s UID (unique ID) is 102753a3.

    Supported phones
    NOKIA: 3230, 6260, 6670, 7610, 6620, 6681, 6680, 6630, N70, N90, N91
    Sendo: X2
    Panasonic: X800 X700
    Lenovo: P930

    Notes
Playback of formats other than wma and ogg requires your cell phone to have proper codecs installed. Most cell phones and all the Nokia phones listed above support mp3 playback.
WMAPlus! is developed on Nokia 6620 and 6630, and tested on Nokia phones but not on other brands. Please try the trial version first.
WMAPlus! is shipped with the official ogg decoder plugin.

    Thanx to jagpawan
For n6600 users, you will need Plugin that will allow you to play ogg & wma files. In order to use WMAPLUS, you need to delete from e:\system\libs\plugins (two(2) oggvorbis files).
Then copy this plugin to the same folder to play ogg in WMAPLUS.
    Thanx to ic2alpha

    Download WMAPlus! skin
Extract, rename it to "wmaplus?.mbm" and "wmaplus?.skn" (? refers to number for easy skin selection) so that it does not overwite the default one and transfer to phone and paste into the e:\system\apps\wmaplus folder.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Added on [10/22] : WMA ICON

Download and unzip wmaplus_Icon.zip and then run the SIS file to install the new menu icon for WMAplus
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Added on [10/24] New WMA Plus skin and icon
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Added on [11/29] New version 1.20.
Good news for Nokia 6600, Panasonic X700, X800 Users!
This release of WMAPlus! is shipped with an mp3 plugin! Anyway, mp3 is still the most popular format.
Please note that the trial version does NOT contain the mp3 plugin. The mp3 plugin is a free gift for our users.
    New features
    Gain control, provides -24db, -18db, -12db, 6bd, 12db gain control
    MP3 plugin
Fix the codec settings bug, now the player can remember you codec settings.

jagpawan, try to install it on 6600. I guess, 6600 is not listed there because 6600 doesn't have built-in mp3 codec, but it should be okay for wma and ogg. Once again, it's just my guess.

    installed the app too..
its working fine on my n6600.. but as jagpawan says.. cant search for the mp3 files on my phone.

i sent a .wma file to my phone via bluetooth.. but it can not be searched in the inbox.. so i tried to save it in my mmc (sound clips/digital) and now its working fine.

i'll try to move the .mp3 file to my tones folder (sound clips/digital) and see what happens.. i'll give you word on this.

still cant search for the files in my tones folder (e/sounds/digital) where my .wma file is located..

i guess we need to have an mp3 codec or something for this.. if you noticed mp3 id disabled in the codecs option of the WMAPlus.

give us light on this good mods.

by the way.. the sound quality is really superb.. better than in my MP3 player.

    thank you infins.

    Supported phones
    NOKIA: 3230, 6260, 6670, 7610, 6620, 6681, 6680, 6630, N70, N90, N91
    Sendo: X2
    Panasonic: X800 X700
    Lenovo: P930
if i understand it correct, as far as wma files are concern, i think this app is compatible to N6600 since N6620 is supported. but since N6600 doesnt have a built in mp3 codec (like ted said) then i guess mp3s cannot be played using this app.
