Functionality

Advanced Device Locks is a Symbian OS application for locking the phone or selected applications only, such as Messages, Pictures, Contacts, Video or any other. With Advanced Device Locks you can secure important information and personal data stored on your phone by locking it up with a secret code up to 7 characters long. With ADL the information in the phone will be protected even if the phone is stolen.

Advanced Device Locks allows you to lock your phone automatically by choosing one of the following options:

# Always - each time the phone is turned on, it asks for the unlock code.


# When SIM Changed - the locks are on if the SIM card of the phone is changed.

# Automatic lock - an automatic lock is switched on after a specified period of inactivity in minutes.

# Protected applications - this option turns on the device locks if someone tries to access the protected applications.


With Advanced Device Locks you have the unique option to choose whether to lock the phone itself, to lock selected applications on it or to combine these two options and lock both the phone and certain applications. The lock code can be changed very easily only with a few clicks.


Registration Key Information

The trial version of the software is limited for 7 days. The full version of the software is unlocked by a registration key provided upon purchase.
The registration key is based on the unique IMEI provided and the application can be used exclusively on the device it is licensed for.
The key cannot be retrieved and applied to other devices.

To change it to your own secret password code is by changing the default code "0000" to your own password (7 characters is the maximum)

It work, you need to have the .NET framework installed I think. If it just has a been and nothing launches, right click it, select properties, and under the compatibilities tab, select to run it in "windows 2000" mode.

The original post above says that its for the P800/p900/P910. Doesn't say anything about the P990(UIQ3). You might want to check the UIQ3 thread around here, I'm not too familiar with UIQ3. But since you're using the P990, I don't think this will work.

Try going to the other thread and search around before you buy :p Good luck

Menthod for 1st time install Advanced Device Locks trial version :
1. Change your phones date to 31 Dec 2100. (Depend how long your want to use this trial version)
2. Install Advanced Device Locks 1.00(0).SIS to your C or D drive.
3. Open the ADL, it will show limited for 7 days trial, close ADL and change your phones date to the right date.
4. NOW YOU HAVE 93 YEARS OF TRIAL DAYS.



I KNOW This is too much i say. I set my installation date to 31 dec 2020 during installation, then after installation set back the date to NOW which is TODAY, for me it is 14 JUNE 2007.

My phone NOW says i have 4772 TRIAL DAYS LEFT. WHICH IS MASSIVE, NO NEED TO BUY OR LOOK FOR A ****** AS THIS IS A FULLY WORKING TRIAL VERSION.

WITH THAT AMOUNT OF TRIAL DAYS WHY DO I NEED A ****** FOR, HAHAHAHAHAHA
