F-Secure
F-SECURE test on 7610 n 6600
installed it now and updated it.
what i dont like is that i can see the app on my task manager.
hmm ok lets see now....
CABIR VIRUSES
sent Cabir.A and AV found the virus.
but im not able to save the message to my phone like on SYMANTEC.
F-SECURE put the infected file directly on quarantine and the message
is gone...grr and if i want to keep the virus without to install what do i need
to do F-SECURE?
ok anyway im sending all the other cabir viruses.
but what i just saw now is that if i dont delete the infected file that
F-SECURE found and put on quarantine without to delete it im not able to receive
the next message with the virus..
i think that is like that cause the infected file is the same on all the virus
it is on C:/system/temp/Obex.tmp
and there is no option to delete the file automatic from the quarantine.
sent Cabir A, B, Bv2, C, D, E, F and it found them all.
sent Cabir.g2 but nothing comes up from the AV.
i scan the phone manually but again nothing.it says
no viruses..
hmmm SYMANTEC has found this virus directly.
ok i must install it to see if the AV will recognise it after the install.
eeehh wtf?
i cant install it it says file corrupte.

SYMANTEC had some problems to recognise 3cabir viruses on entry of the sms
but after a manually scan it found them too..

SKULLS VIRUSES
sent Skulls A, B, C, CB, D, H, M, and Revised and AV found all
of them..
wow F-SECURE found them all. SYMANTEC has a "BIG" problem with the M version
of skulls (see the other SYMANTEC file for more infos)
what i like on F-SECURE is that i can see the infected files.
i mean when i sent the virus sms on my phone AV comes up and
it says about the infected file and if you wish to see the report.
and on the report you can see for example this here

well i cant say that the F-SECURE AV is the best as i test only this and
SYMANTEC but i saw that this AV found ALL the viruses that i sent to my phone.
what i dont like is that i cant keep the viruses on my phone cause the AV delete
the sms defore i can even see it on the phone
ok now comes a very good copy from my other test pmpl
now i thing that you should have an AV on the phone
(if you download your apps directly to the phone)
cause i saw that it protects.
BUT NEVER THING YOU ARE 100% SECURE.

oh before i forget it.....
that was a test..
it was not an advertisement(is that the right word? ) about this AV.
i will test the next days other AV´S to see if they are good too.

i installed and scanned my phone. during the scaning
i remembered that i had the mmc still on the phone.
so i wanted to quit the scan and remove the card.
the app freezed and i was not able to close it.
after a phone restart was everything ok.


CABIR VIRUSES

Sent Cabir A on phone and i got a virus alarm.

C:/system/mail/ooo..../4/oo1..../cabir.A.sis has been
infected by cabir.A,cabir.D
press yes to delete
press no to fix.

again no option to save the virus like on F-SECURE

sent Cabir B v2, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K2, K, M, N, O, P, Q, R,
S, T, T_ILoveU, U_Sexxxy and V all found on entry.

but didnt found Cabir.g2 as i sent it.
and didnt found the virus after a manually scan too.

lets see if i install it..
oh its the corrupted file that the other AV didnt found)

then i can say it founds everything from the cabir viruses.


COMMWARRIOR VIRUSES


Sent Commwarrior A and B both found on entry.


DOOMBOOT VIRUSES

ok now i see that this AV isnt such strong like the other AV´s.

sent Doomboot A and didnt found something even not after a manually
scan.

on the Doomboot B it found the cabir virus only, on the entry.
if im right there are more viruses in it.

and on the Commwarrior C didnt found something on entry
but it found the viruses after a manually scan and fixed the file.

the C virus file is still on my inbox now.
the fixed file... i try to install it...

and what now?
yes yes a skull virus was still in and
my phone is infected now
many skulls on my menu and a heart icon with the name I-Love-U.
oh yeah i love you too hun pmpl...

i can still run the AV.
but it cant recognise the installed virus.

i have an idea. and its a great idea
i had installed FExplorer but the skulls dont allow me to open it,
so i sent it again and i was able to install it. now i can use it
and i can take some screenshoots


and i can see all the folders and files from the virus.
but i think this is another story....


im not gonna install the other 2 Doomboot viruses cause im sure
it dont gonna find anything.

i deleted the virus with the help from FExplorer and
i installed again one from the previous tested AV´s to scan my device.
it seems to be clean again now.
i had to install NETQIN again as the virus deleted many files from it.


SKULLER VIRUSES



Sent Skuller A, B, D, E, F, (all together without to delete them)
but nothing recognised by the AV on entry.
i scan manually and now it found the viruses.
i got 4files on the result. this time i choose the delete option and not
the fix option like i did before.
it says deleted but the viruses are still on my inbox.

scan again and nothing found.

now i close the real time protection of NETQIN and i run the other installed AV.
i scan my phone with it and it found 1infected file.
i found with it the skuller A virus.
but the sms viruses are still on my inbox. i will install one now and see
what will happens.

no, i cant open and install the files...
thats good this time it means the viruses got deleted.
but as i sent 5viruses that means that the NETQIN AV found only
the 4 of them and deleted.

sent Skulls A nothing found on entry and nothing after the manually scan.

scan with the other AV and virus found and deleted.


Sent Skulls B on phone nothing found on entry but after a manually scan.

i was wondering how is it possible that it cant recognise any of that viruses
so i sent again Skulls B (775kb) on my phone and this time i didnt scan it
manually.
i was just waiting.and after 3minutes!!!!!! the virus alarm came up.
the other AV´s had checked any file in seconds.
i sent it again cause i want to see if im able to install it
before i got the pop up from the AV but im not able to install

i get installer in use error.
but after i shout down the real time monitor from the AV im able to install.
that means that the AV doesnt let you install it before it finished
the scaning.

thats good. but it takes too long to scan big files..

does that means that the AV would find all the other skulls too if i give it
some time??
hmm....

sent Skulls C again (250kb) to check if im right.
nothing happens on entry..
2minutes now im waiting...i give up and i will install the virus..
the first time that i sent it it found the virus after the manually scan.

but i dont gonna install it cause now i got the pop up with the
infected file..

it takes too long to scan the new files on entry.
its not possible that it needs up to 3minutes for only 250kb`s.
on the manually scan its one of the fasters AV´s.

but the live scan is ****.

so i think i cant continue this test as it will take too long time to wait
and to see if the AV will find something or not..

my result is that this AV isnt good enough.

the latest virus for this AV is the skulls virus lol.(but not every version)

i like that it scan very fast (manually scan)
and that you cant install any new app until its not finished with the scan.

but it needs too long time to scan the new apps that be sent on your phone.
the real time scan is veryyyyy slow..

now i thing that you should have an AV on the phone

my folders... and many skulls icons lol.every skulls icon has the same name "Khalid" (hmm khaliq is that you? pmpl)
except some icons that have the name of the app that it should be there like FExplorer.

but im able to see and open the galerie.
there is nothing infected (although i had nothing in there but i was able to open it).
and im able to open SYMANTEC.
so i open it and i scan my phone again.

i sent some more viruses on my phone,some of them found directly
the AV ,and for some others i scan manually the phone and the AV found them..



RESULT????
as i began to write this thingy here i thought that the AV will not find
many viruses excepted the cabir virus..

but i must say im suprised about this AV cause it found the most viruses.

now i thing that you should have an AV on the phone (if you download your apps directly to the phone)
cause i saw that it protects.
BUT AS I SAID IT DIDNT FOUND ALL THE VIRUSES.
SO NEVER THING YOU ARE 100% SECURE.


ok i think thats all.
oh before i forget it.....
that was a test..
it was not an advertisement(is that the right word? ) about this AV.
i will test the next days other AV´S to see if they are good too.

this anti virus app will protect your phone only against the
COMMWARRIOR VIRUSES.

ok just install it and after the install i must restart my phone.
i restart and then i see a new font on my phone.

the truth is that this font is ****.
i give my PIN number and i see commas instead of numbers lol.

i open my menu now.and i must wait over 4seconds to see it.
i think its normal the first time takes always long.
but my phone is veeery slow now.
after i open the menu i want to go down to open an app and it takes
3!!!!!!!!!seconds till i can move to another icon.
and that stay that way on the next moves(
very stupid..
but when i open an app, the app is running ok. its not slow like on the menu.

i run appman to see what happens.

the app aint running on the background i cant see any new process.
but what i notice is that my phone needs more RAM now.
about 500kb`s. the normal is 200-250kb`s.
(i mean the "phone programm" you can see it with the inbuilt task manager too)

lol this should be an anti virus app test but now i cant stop

i open FExplorer and browse through the phone memory.

i see a new folder

C:/system/kuns
and the new fonts folder.
the kuns folders have only txt messages from kunpda...some blah blah.


i will send the viruses now.

now before i will send the second virus i will delete this font cause it makes the phone

i deleted the font and restart the phone but the same problem on the menu.

during the installation it ask me if i want to replace version 1.00
with version 1.00.
that means the AV didnt deleted all the folders and files from the other virus.
hmm and it means i didnt search good enough with the explorer lol.

after that the same game like on the first virus.
no new icon, phone infected and sending viruses
and after a manually scan it founds the virus.

i will not test any other viruses with this app cause its only a
commwarrior remover.(and not a good one).

i was now on the app manager to remove this app and i found the
commwarrior app.26kb`s. remove it from the phone with the manager
and this app too.
during the removing of the app i see the to txt files that i said before.
BROUGHT TO YOU BY KUNPDA. and one other TXT.

after that my phone menu is running again like a horse)))

well this app is just a remover not an AV.

and its not a very good remover as splits of the virus was still on my
phone after the scan and deleting.

no live scan, no protection.
the phone must be infected before the app will recognise something.
and over all that it makes the phone very slow.

i think this app its a virus pmpl.

i dont know if the ***** its **** and thats the reason that this app
makes the menu slow. or if the app is so if you buy it too.

A New Virus out on the loose
SymbOS\Multidropper.unknown
Description:
Symbos\Multidropper.unknown is the latest variant of multidropper family and it's trying to disable a large amount of application by replacing malicious and non-functional file into the targeted directory. Besides, it claimed itself as “Norman Anti-Virus” but in fact, it’s bundle with malicious file which could harm the user phone.
The file was originally in the form of *.rar file and containing two components, that is, a *.txt and a *.sis file. The text file is trying to fool the user by instructing them to run the *.exe file which is actually causing harm to their computer if they launch it and malicious action will be performed then.

Analysis/Observation:
This trojan was distributed in an application file and it is spreading in Norman Virus Control.SIS or norman_virus_control .rar .

Method of Infection

This malware is trying to disabling the phone application by replacing non-functional or malicious file into the targeted directory. If user is trying to access their media card using a card reader in a computer and accidentally launch the *.exe file in the media card, a malicious act will be performed and causing harm to the computer system by deleting system files.

Prevention:

This suspicious Symbian application needs user intervention to be installed on target devices. Upon execution, it prompts the user to install the application the phone. It also prompts the user to select where the said application is to be installed. As always, users should never install third party application from unknown site.

How to uninstall:

TrendMicro Anti Virus, McAfee Anti-Virus, Symantec Anti Virus and F-Secure Anti-Virus will release their latest detection for this malware in few days later. User are advice to update their virus definition regularly.
