The application sits in the operating system of the handset and can lock the handset with a simple SMS if the handset is lost or stolen. The handset needs to be unlocked by the user with a secure pin code or SMS before the phone can be re-used. Trial the full application free for 30 days!

Features:
- If the handset is lost or stolen when in operating mode, it can be disabled by sending a text message to the phone.
- If the SIM card is changed without MobiGuard being disabled, the handset will automatically lock.
- The handset will automatically send a text message of the serial number of the new SIM card which has been installed to a secure source you designate. The SIM number can identify the illegal user.
- The screen of the handset will display a message announcing the phone has been locked and the user should call the number displayed to have the handset returned to its owner.
- The handset can also be locked remotely by sending a message to the phone (and therefore to unlock it).

Ripping DVD movies
If you want to play DVD movies, the first step is to rip the DVD into an AVI file using a DVD ripper program (not included).
We recommend the use of XMPEG 5.03 (step-by-step tutorial: English , German , French , Italian , Spanish ), or if you wish to make it easier, in one step, try Makayama's Mobile Media Maker.

Converting AVI files to a DVDPlayer-supported format

Download and use Lathe for Nokia. Select your target device first, then open the source movie file, then press Start. You may need to download additional codecs for encoding the files: DivX codec, XviD codec at www.koepi.org

Download and use FFmpeg with the following settings:
Video codec: Xvid (.aiv) (ffmpeg), max. resolution: 208 x 176 (series 60) or 320 x 160 (Nokia 7710) or 640 x 200 (Nokia 9300/9500), framerate: 10 - 12 fps, bitrate: 80 - 150 kbps.
Sound codec: mp3, 32kBit/s with 16000 Hz, mono.

Install mencoder, mplayer, lame, ffmpeg, and w32codecs, then use the convert.sh <snip>et (readme: readme_convert.txt).

Then upload the converted file to the phone using Nokia PcSuite (comes with the phone, or download it at www.nokia.com), or copy it to the MMC using a card writer, then start DVDPlayer - it will show the new file in the list. The program needs about 2Mbyte free memory on the phone (not on the MMC).

If the sound is choppy, then please lower the bitrate (quality) or the framerate or the resolution of the target video file.

Test video (2.15Mbyte, 208x176): doom3.avi

Supported movie format:

AVI file
max. resolution: 208x176 (Series 60 phones), 320x160 (Nokia 7710), 640x200 (Nokia 9300/9500);
DivX orXviD encoded video
8kHz or 16kHz, MP3 encoded audio
interlaced, max. 15 frame per second.
Recommended bitrates:
video bitrate 80 - 200 kbps
audio bitrate 16- 32kbps, 16kHz, mono
using these settings, a 2-hour movie will be about 70Mbyte - 150Mbyte

MobileOrganizer is a PIM (Personal Information Management) application for Symbian Series 60 devices. This application is able to store text and voice messages and to notify the user about them when the date and time is right. The user can view all the messages in a special list from which he is able to display, edit and change their settings. Notesí settings are: Type, Date, Time and Repeat. There are two types of notes, ToDos and Reminders. The ToDo note doesn't have a time setting and it is only visible in the list view. This type of a message doesn't generate an event and user won't be notified about it. A reminder note has an activation time setting to alarm the user. The reminder can also have a repeat setting. By default, repeat is set to "Do not repeat", but the user can select other available options such as "Every day", "Every week", "Every month".
