Until now, the latest version of the Android OS have been circulating is version 2.2 Froyo. Recently acquired from the latest data, Froyo Android Android version finally has become the most widely used, replaces the Android 2.1 eclair which has dominated the market share Android version.
Froyo reaching 43.4% market share of around Android phone in early December, up from the previous month that only 36%. This month, Android 2.1 version eclair have a percentage of 39.6% usage. As for version 1.5 and 1.6 are still used by some handsets, but the percentage has dropped, only about 17% of the Android phones that use the old school version of the operating system.
There have been many devices that have been adopted Froyo include: Motorola Droid 2, Desire HTC HD, LG Optimus One, Acer be Touch 140, X5 & X6 Ideos Huawei, Samsung i5510, Galaxy Tab tablets, etc.. Froyo successor version, Android 2.3 Gingerbread also rumored to be coming soon though do not know the exact time.
Eric Schmidt, Google's CEO has said just wait in the next few weeks.
