true tones.. either wav tones or mp3 ringtone.. 'coz some s60 dont support mp3 as ringtone so they use wav tones instead of mp3 tones.. FYI not all mp3 tones that you'll find is full song, the song is cut and of course the size is not that big.. and about the sound quality, it's the same but always depends on converting..
hope this helps.. regards =)

there are 3 types of tones for mobile phones as of the present:
1)monophonic tones
2)polyphonic tones
> MIDI format
3)true tones
> AMR format - i'm not sure if it is also used in phones aside from nokia.
> WAV format - most commonly used nowadays but consumes memory.
> MP3 format - slowly becoming the choice format. lesser memory consumed compared to WAV format.
hope this helps... :peace:

you can go to the WAP site and download from there. i haven't tried downloading through WAP yet since i download the file to my PC and then send it via Bluetooth using a Bluetooth dongle.
AND CAN I DOWNLOADS FULL SONG ALSO
IN NOKIA6600
yes it is possible to download full songs to your Nokia 6600 provided that you have ample memory available. MP3s are the format of choice if you decide to put full songs into your mobile phone since they consume lesser memory. MP3 players for S60 phones are abundant in this forum so just search for it here.
Hope this helps... :peace:
