View Full Version : Computer keeps on rebooting

sirs, pls. help.. my computer often times reboot especially out of nowhere when i am typing or encoding some files using word, excel or powerpoint.. i tried to reformat it and install win98 (previous Os was XP) but the problem still exist... my processor is Intel Celeron... is there a problem on my harddisk or the motherboard itself? i would be greatly appreciated if you could help me with this one...

if it is not your machine's problem, then perhaps you can check your WIRINGS, to the socket, your AVR, and other devices you use to support your machine electronically.

you are also advised to take a peek inside your machine (PROPER CAUTION AND SAFETY MEASURES MUST BE APPLIED)
and check wether your fans are working)

maybe u didnt plug the cable right. coz it happens to me b4. coz if ur socket plugs is a bit error. when the plug from the computer moved a bit the computer will restart.

any error message you get? like blue screen in winxp?

this is most likely a hardware configuration problem. one or more of your hardware probably isnt attached very well or you are not using the proper drivers. since it has something to do with the screen and it just restarts, im guessing its with the video card

My Dear Friend Its All About Video Card!!
Since After Formatting The Windows The Problem Still Persists , This Is Because Of Your Video Hardware Configuration.

There Are Two Solution For This:-

Sol 1:- Decrease Your Hardware Accelaration To None.
Start-> Control Panel-> Display-> Properties-> Settings-> Advanced-> Troubleshoot

Sol 2:- Update Your Graphics Or Video Card Driver

Pls be specifc abt ur prbs. Do u xprince any oddity b4 ur PC shuts-down?
If yes then describe it. if ur Pb is solved then PM me.

try to properly press the RAm into place. Also the power cable to ur Cabinet may have come loose. replace. aslo clean the contacts of all PCI cards and all cables that will solve the prb.
