The latest RPG for your Nintendo DS is Contact, from Grasshopper Studios. These are the developers best known for the mind-bending Killer 7. Contact, in comparison, is downright tame and surprisingly conventional. It's a little wacky, a little free-form, a little innovative, a little frustrating, and largely business as usual for the genre. It is, on the whole, a modest game that gets by on charm more than anything else.

The storyline starts with a clever twist that demonstrates how this can only be a game for the DS's dual screens. The top screen features the goings on of an absent-minded professor and Mochi, his cute little dog/cat thing. They're aboard a crashed space ship, which shortly and for no good reason takes up residence inside a sailing ship. They're aware of you - the player - and they'll blithely break through the fourth wall to address you from time to time. This interaction is the "contact" referenced in the game's title and it's a great opportunity for humorous asides and inside jokes. Grasshopper rises nicely to the occasion.

Genre: 3D Platformer
Release Date: Oct 24, 2006
Players: 1 Player

Flushed Away for the Nintendo DS is a side-scrolling adventure game based on the animated movie of the same name. In it, players juggle control between two streetwise rats, Roddy and Rita, and explore roughly a dozen levels in search of the items necessary to repair Rita's boat and deliver Roddy back to his cushy life outside the sewers. The game doesn't do much to break out of the standard run-and-jump mold, but the 3D graphics and explorative level layouts should keep the movie's fans interested long enough to see the game through to its speedy conclusion.

By: Nintendo, Next Entertainment
Genre: Action Role-Playing
Release Date: Nov 1, 2006 (more)
Players: 1-4 (tech info)

The Mana series of role-playing games from Square Enix is known for charming character design and action-focused dungeon exploration. While it worked in the beginning with the classic Secret of Mana, the formula has grown stale over time. The latest game in the series, Children of Mana, is about as fresh as a week-old tuna sandwich. The game gets by for a short while on an appealing art style, easy-to-grasp gameplay, and almost too-cute characters, but it never goes any deeper. Children of Mana just puts you in one random, generic dungeon after the next, where it's your job to clear each floor of enemies until you reach the boss at the end. If you die, you have to start over at the beginning of the dungeon and repeat the process all over again. The overall design of the game just feels lazy, and the mindless busywork that comprises the bulk of the game simply isn't fun. Children of Mana looks good, with some solid though underdeveloped concepts at play, but it is much too shallow to provide anything more than fleeting enjoyment.

Children of Mana is a sequel to Sword of Mana, which appeared on the Game Boy Advance. Just as people are starting to piece their lives back together after the massive cataclysm, a new evil emerges. Of course it's up to you to wield the holy sword and put an end to the evil uprising to save the world of Illusia once again. When you start a game, you can choose one of four different characters. Each character represents a typical role-playing archetype. There's the fighter, who has high defensive capabilities and can dish out heavy damage in melee situations; the frail magic user, who is effective from a distance with magic attacks; a female dancer, who is a strong magic user; and a young male hero, who is a good all-around fighter with good magic and physical attack capabilities. Because you're stuck with a single character for the entire game, you'll want to choose carefully, although the characters don't really play much differently anyway.

By: Sierra Entertainment, Dimps Corporation
Genre: Party Game
Release Date: Oct 10, 2006 (more)
Players: 1-4 (tech info)

The Good: You can play as your favorite Crash characters; certain minigames are fun.
The Bad: Crash license is largely cosmetic; most minigames are dull and uninspired; whole game feels slapped together.

When it comes to Mario Party knockoffs, the most important question is whether or not the minigames are any good. A company can stockpile its game with minigames galore, slap on a familiar mascot, and come up with a unique board game concept to organize everything around it, but no one is going to want to play the thing if the minigame challenges are dull. That's the main problem with Crash Boom Bang!. Although it lets you wander around a game board and participate in various multiplayer challenges as your favorite Crash Bandicoot characters, the game ultimately crashes and burns because the majority of its minigames are lifeless and uninteresting.

Crash Boom Bang! sticks close to the classic Mario Party formula. You can compete against CPU opponents or link multiple DS systems and copies of the game together to compete against your friends in 40 different minigame challenges. Minigames can be played individually or as part of a larger board game-style competition. While the overall goal for each of the six different game boards varies, you generally want to roll the dice so that you land on squares that increase your point total. Some squares add and subtract points; some squares give you items that can slow down your opponents or move you to another spot on the board; and some squares initiate random minigames. Minigames can involve as many as four participants, where the winner receives a hefty number of prize points and the runners-up receive lesser amounts. When you're not personally involved in a minigame, you can wager prize points on the outcome and increase your total that way. You can even pester other players by covering their screens with pop-up chat messages. The flow of the board game is highly dependent on how dice rolls and item pickups turn out, but it's usually a fair and tolerable method of doling out the various minigame challenges.

Release Date: Oct 17, 2006 (more)
Players: 1 Player (tech info)

That fire breathing purple dragon SPYRO is back in Sierra Entertainment and Amaze Entertainment THE LEGEND OF SPYRO: A NEW BEGINNING for the DS. This new game in the series serves as a prequel of sorts, examining Spyro’s life as a young dragon, and focuses more on combat and less on the platforming aspects. Players can also use the DS touch screen controls to move Spyro and attack enemies. The game begins with Spyro hatching out of an egg and being raised by dragonflies. He has no idea that he’s a dragon, but once Spyro discovers this, he will have access to many of his dragon talents, including fire breathing and flying. He will need all of these abilities to take down the evil dragon Cinder, who is plotting to take over the world. Spyro’s breath attack can be modified with elemental powers, and each of these four elements has three different attacks that Spyro can access once he collects enough gems. Each attack has its own uses. In addition to elemental blasts, Spyro also has access to fury moves that damage all enemies on the screen. The flying levels work just like aerial shooters, with Spyro blasting his way through Cinder’s flying forces while dodging and spiraling out of the way of incoming blasts. These break up the combat missions and, together, turn THE LEGEND OF SPYRO: A NEW BEGINNING into a great game that explores Spyro’s past and turns him into the dragon hero everyone loves.

The untapped potential of the rival team and the distracting dimensional disconnect are the game's primary drawbacks - the rest of the experience is solid. Scooby's platforming sequences form the core of the adventure, as the not-so-daring dog quests for clues to use to undo each ruse - masterminded, as always, by ghostly clowns, spectral spacemen or undead pirates. Lesser enemies populate each area, and can be handled with well-placed dash or spin attacks.

"Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day for Nintendo DS is a fun, rewarding form of entertainment everyone can enjoy, as it helps players flex their mental muscles. Brain Age is inspired by the research of Professor Ryuta Kawashima, a prominent Japanese neuroscientist. His studies evaluated the impact of performing certain reading and mathematic exercises to help stimulate the brain.

Brain Age presents quick mental activities that help keep your DS brain in shape. Activities include quickly solving simple math problems, counting people going in and out of a house simultaneously, drawing pictures on the Touch Screen, reading classic literature out loud, and more. You can also play sudoku, the number puzzle game which has become an extremely popular feature in U.S. newspapers."

A classic and a must have if you're bored and wanna kill time

"Wario makes his mad debut on the Nintendo DS with 180 all-new, factory-fresh microgames!

What really makes this game rock is the DS's touch control. Whether you're slicing veggies flying through the air or ripping the clothes off a sweltering beachgoer, the touch control makes playing Wario's blazingly fast microgames so simple, even a nintendo.com writer can figure 'em out.

Did we only say "touch"? Sorry, we forgot mic control. Yep, a karaoke-mad robot named Mike is on hand to get this party going with special mic-controlled games. For the absolutely first time in video-game history, you can blow sweet nothings into the ear of that someone special or cool off a cup of hot java."

bro, it's not necessary to flash your nds, can't we do a one unified thread? that way we won't have fears of reposts.
one HUGE HUGE COLLECTION!?
what do you think buddy?
do you wan't me to ask the mod's to merge both threads?
we'll maintain the thread both, make it clean, caps, reviews for all the members.
what do ya say man?

ok for all my friend i want tell thsi result hmmm its like a problem when i try to run this game (fifa07) its save my save file corrupted

please make sure you copy the "*.sav" file where you stored the Converted nds rom
all files should be on the root Directory!
It could be the rom itself, some games might not save. maybe the save feature isn't fully emulated on the SuperCard :peace: Goodluck

Like most platform games, the goal in Rainbow Islands Revolution is to guide the main character to the furthest reaches of the screen while dodging and attacking enemies. Generally speaking, the furthest reaches of the screen are up, up, up. In the original game, you used a joystick to move the character around and pressed buttons in order to make him jump or unfurl a rainbow. Rainbows would knock out enemies on contact and could be used as steps to reach lofty platforms. In this Nintendo DS remake, all movements and actions are controlled using the stylus and touch screen. You drag your character, now stuck inside a bubble, using the stylus. There's no need to jump anymore because the bubble can float, but you still need to watch out for any enemies or spikes that may peck away at your character's health. Instead of pushing a button to cast rainbows directly in front of your character, you can now use the stylus to draw them anywhere on the screen. There are even special shapes that can be drawn to capture or vacuum up enemies.
