for desktop wallpapers, the higher the resolution the better basically... unfortunately I can't resize them now coz I have uploaded them already.

Anyway you can change the resolution of the wallpapers if you have photoshop installed in your PC, or even any graphic-editing software can do that (the "resizing" action has been a standard feature for all I believe).
