need help urgent reformating 7710!!!!!

In case of serious problems with your Nokia 7700/7710 (if e.g. your phone doesn't start or it is very unstable) use the following method to reformat the device. Please, be aware that this function brings your phone back to a factory state, i.e. it removes all applications, files and data.


Disconnect the charger and remove the battery.

Wait for about ten seconds and insert the battery to start the device.

When you see the NOKIA welcome screen, immediately press and hold two lower keys on the left side (the [= key and the Menu key) and shortly after that press and hold the second key from the top on the right side on the phone.

Confirm that you want to format. Formatting will start.

i understood the method bot i dont get where is this NOKIA welcome screen....is it in the satrting when it shows nokia onlly or is it wen the two hands com ....
now i cant start my 7710 it gets blocked up in that nokia part wen we restart ....plz help urgent....!!

Guys Dunno Y Am Not Able To Format I Got The Welcome Screen Nothing Happns Wen I Do The Method To Format.............

are in the dialer just type *#7370#
and it will ask u to restore the sttings just press yes and ur phone will be formatted and will be like a new one

U have to hold the Keys after u have restarted the Phone
