    **** Lenovo i807 *****

This is already one beast of a phone, so putting it in a cutesy pink shell may take away some credibility from the Lenovo i807. This phone has a 2-inch touchscreen, 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth w/ A2DP for music streaming, handwriting recognition and even an FM tuner. Not too shabby

    ******Saint B - MP3*******
    SORRY GOD

The Saint B is an MP3 player concept out of Russia. The unit hangs around your neck where OLED beauty glistens through a flexible black plastic cover. The player charges/syncs via USB. But what we like most about the Saint B is the sinful bang for your buck:

Sin 1: Bastardization/misuse of the cross
Sin 2: Cross is jet black (the color of sin, along with red and hot pink)
Sin 3: The Mariah Carey album you still listen to on it

Plus, the Saint B is completely protected from those pesky vampire muggers who like the iPod so much

    Check this out............

This screensaver on the NTT DoCoMo N702is cellphone looks and acts just like a glass of water. When you move it around, the motion sensor detects your angle and sloshes the water to the left or right, depending. The actual water level itself is indicative of the amount of battery you have left, so it's probably more fun to keep your phone charged up.

Maybe some developer can whip up a J2ME version of this app?

Maybee we can soon find this on IMSERBA itself..........

    New Revolution in Networking............

    *********First Wireless USB Hub Ships*******

Y-E Data has shipped the first Ultra Wideband USB hub in Japan. The hub uses the Wisair chipset ahs has a small USB dongle that that connects to your computer and wirelessly communicates with a four-port USB hub. Now we just have to wait to see how long a device like this takes to get through the FCC's pound-me-in-the-ass certification process............

Driving is always a pleasure if u have the best roads...........

    Hafeet Mountain

    World's Greatest Driving Road

Just have a look What they have created in a desert...
The Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the greatest driving road in the world. Stretching for 7.3 miles and climbing nearly 4,000 feet, it boasts 60 corners and a surface so smooth that it would flatter a racetrack. It could easily be described as the eighth wonder of the world, but almost nothing is known about its creation.

The road is cut into the Jebel Hafeet mountain, the highest peak in the United Arab Emirates , the oil-rich Persian Gulf state. The mountain spans the border with Oman and lies about 90 minutes' drive southeast of the thriving city of Dubai . It looks down upon a dusty, desert landscape that belies a nation of astonishing wealth.

Re: Car Bikes Gadgets and ....Edge cutting Tech..

The target of this project is the development of a multi-purpose mobile robotic platform within Service Robotics, and its posterior application to an Assistive Robot for elderly people living at home.

The robot will be autonomous within semi-structured environments, and will assist elderly people at cognitive and environmental level; thus, the robot will help the user walking, reminding tasks, giving environmental information, controlling environmental security, providing health services, communicating with people (doctor, assistant, family)… Additionally the robot will have the ability of stimulate the user emotionally avoiding loneliness sensation, promoting as well a healthier and more active life for the user.

A support tool that, in short, will facilitate the autonomy of the elderly and other collectives suffering from cognitive dysfunctions, and by extension, will improve the life quality of their relatives and careers.

An integration of several assistive services in a completely autonomous mobile robotic platform will be developed, which will support the user in the carrying out of the daily activities, promoting his autonomy and independency level.

This project gives the opportunity to a new way of understanding de assistance service. In this way, users will have a simple tool to use, adapted to their personal characteristics, as well as always attended and updated.

    Industrial application
Memory assistance: Management of appointments and tasks, planning of daily life activities..
E-health: Telemedicine, health evaluation at home, remote health monitoring…
    Medication management: Hours, Doses...
    Home automation and security
Communication with family, doctor and caregivers and access to e-Services…

Walking Partner Robot helps old ladies cross the street

Nomura Unison Co., Ltd. has developed a walking-assistance robot that perceives and responds to its environment. The machine, called Walking Partner Robot, was developed with the cooperation of researchers from Tohoku University. It will be unveiled to the general public at the 2006 Suwa Area Industrial Messe on October 19 in Suwa, Nagano prefecture.

The robot is equipped with a system of sensors that detect the presence of obstacles, stairs, etc. while monitoring the motion and behavior of the user. Three sensors monitor the status of the user while detecting and measuring the distance to potential obstacles, and two angle sensors measure the slope of the path in front of the machine. The robot responds to these measurements with voice warnings and by automatically applying brakes when necessary.

Walking Partner Robot is essentially a high-tech walker designed to support users as they walk upright, preventing them from falling over. The user grasps a set of handles while pushing the unmotorized 4-wheeled robot, which measures 110 (H) x 70 (W) x 80 (D) cm and weighs 70 kilograms (154 lbs).

Check Out This Amazing Piece of Civil Engineering....
This is a preety old news but its worth sharing here on imserba...

Pls read the Matter to understand the working...........of this waterway wonder.

    ************The Falkirk Wheel (Scotland)********************

The Falkirk Wheel, is the final piece in the renovation of the canal system in Scotland that allows small boats (pleasure craft) to traverse the breadth of Scotland, from the Firth of Forth to the Firth of Clyde, The Forth and Clyde canals meet at Falkirk.

******The difference in the height between the two canals is 115 feet.......******

Years ago a set of locks (11 in all) allowed the craft to reach the different levels. When the canals were being renovated it was decided that to try and repair or rebuild the locks was out of the question.

The answer to the problem was to build a spectacular wheel that would accommodate 4 x 20 Metre long boats in a single go, and as one lot went down 2 more could be lifted at the same time.
The following pictures show the wheel in all it’s glory. From entering the cradle to leaving it takes just 15 minutes.

    Airel View of the Wheel.
