Make Invisible Folders In Win Vista N Win Xp

first create a newfolder(on desktop)

Then name the folder by pressing alt key(dnt release it) n type 0160(from the numeric keypad) frm the keyboard.

Then after naming the folder u will find ur folder without any name, only the folder is visible.

Now right click the folder, then click on properties, then under customise tab or page click change icon. Then select the blank space and click ok.

Then click apply button to apply the settings n click ok.

Now ur invisible folder is created.

u can open it by pressing the left mouse button n then move ur mouse on the whole screen. u will see a blue, rectangular small box. This is ur invisible folder. click on it to open ur invisible folder.

after creating invisible folder on ur desktop then u can move(by using cut, copy, paste) it to any drive or directory u want.

the only disadv if u have a file in that folder (eg: test1.exe) and someone searches for test, one result of that search will be <alt 0160> folder... Other than that great post man
Offtopic: Is there anyway i can disable search service in my computer?

Superb Man!!! Awesome Post! But does it work only on Desktop or inside any drive as we would create normal folders inside D;E; etc..
