nokia 3100 error " phone restricted"

My brother brought a 3100 from UK, the service provider i think was orange there.

now when i put an hutch sim it says "phone restricted". I press ok then he asks me to "enter the code". how do i break this code.
Please help.

The default code for Nokia Handsets is 12345, now if you've tried that one, then you have to go ask your brother...

If you have the bill, go to a Nokia Care Center, and get it fixed by them.

this problem is caused by corrupted ppm area of the phone, solution is to reflash/reprogram the phone. regards.

it is country code you have to unlock it ....
go to market and spend some money

Yes u just got to unlock it.Its not that expensive. Best of luck

Yes it's locked to network.So you have to Unlock the NOKIA Mobile Phone from network lock.You can get the Restriction Code from the site Wickedunlock.com and Unlock it.I have unlocked my phone using the Restriction Code.
