1st, turn off ur phone. then press and hold green button (call button) + 3 + * , still keep holding the buttons, turn on ur phone. if u do the codes right, u will see ur 6600 do a formatting process.

Use em only if needed, like if u have encountered \"system-errors\" or \"child-installer\" (bug in 6600)...

The difference between the two is that the first one is starting the program on a safe mode. *#7370# is formatting your phone and will result to loosing your programs and other program files.
Its like your PC when u start on safe mode to try to deactivate the programs that messes up your computer upon startup. Taking the latter option means reformatting the whole thing.
I would try the first method suggested before immediately formatting the phone.
