    Nokia 6670 Contact List problem

    Hi guys

My phone is Nokia 6670. A few days ago my contacts screwed up. When I go into the "Contacts" it showed nothing, and there is only the "exit" on the right soft key button which I also can't exit from there. But when I receive messages, the name of the contact is still shown.

I tried AGORA Contact List manager to backup my contacts but it stopped with an error.
I tried EasyBackup and it hangs at the screen where it says "Backup contacts..."

I need my contacts.. And I don't want to format my phone also.. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

i guess that your contacts are in your sim card but not in the phone memory.

just go to contacts, options, sim directory. you will see all your contacts stored in your sim card.

then press options again, copy contacts.

    hope this helps.

Re: Nokia 6670 Contact List problem

    To 012345:

When I tried to open my contacts, as I have said it hangs at the screen. And using FileMan 1.01 I found my contacts.cdb (around 90k) to be in C:\System\Data (my phone).

    To ibsays:

Er.. Can you tell me how to reflash it? Thanks (=

    Try the old method.

First, keep two applications open - FExplorer(or any other file man) AND Memory.
Keep the C\System\Data\ directory open in FExplorer and highlight the "Contacts.cdb" file.

Now don't exit FExplorer and create a backup of the phone on the card, and when the backup process has started, switch to FExplorer, copy "Contacts.cdb" and paste it at any other place.

For SIM contacts, go to SIM->Sim Directory...Does it hang in SIM contacts???

Re: Nokia 6670 Contact List problem

To adijo13: After I pressed "backup phone memory", the screen just returns to the one when I just opened my Memory. And I tried copying the contacts.cdb, and it says "File in use".
I personally believe that I don't have any SIM contacts.. But how do I check? When I open the Contacts it just hangs. Sorry for any inconvenience.

P/S: I can't even close my Memory program now. =/ btw thanks for helping (=
