Let your phone read your messages out loud with Text-to-speech, a tool which allows you to listen to text messages, multimedia messages, and emails. Text-to-speech is

- a convenient and hands-free way to access your messages
- available to users of compatible Nokia Series 60 mobile phones
- offered in a range of different languages and voices.

Compatibility:
Nokia E50, E51, E61i, E65, E90 Communicator, N75, N78, N81, N96, 5500 Sport, 5700 XpressMusic, 6110 Navigator, 6120 classic, 6121 classic, 6210 Navigator, 6220 classic, and 6290 phones. Might also work with other SymbianOS 9.x devices.

Instructions:
Text-to-speech uses the Message Reader application which is built into compatible Series 60 mobile phones. The service is available only for selected phones where the application is preinstalled.

To use Text-to-speech you will also need to download one language package and one voice package.
For example, if you want to install UK English download both the UK English language package and one UK English voice package.

Downloading & Installing Files:
- Select the desired language package and download it to a compatible PC.
- Select the desired voice package and download it to a compatible PC.
- Transfer the language and voice packages to your phone using Nokia PC Suite and a compatible Nokia cable or wireless connection.

There will be no logo for this application. After installing required application(Voice or Language), go to Setting folder and then Speech. Open Speech application and you will find installed Voice or Language there.
Tested on Nokia 6120 Classic

Only thing happened with my phone, the c-button stopped working. I deleted the files and removed mmc and put back in, then it worked again.

bro evrythng working fine till the time i dnt install any person's voice file..
tht is..i was able to install the English(India) file but couldnt install the sangeeta file...
same when i tried to install ellen voice file after installng englsh uk..
the error that comes up is "Required Application Access Not Granted".
