I try to downgrade my n81 in phoenix but heres the logs:

The flashing failed. Do you like to retry the flashing?

HRESULT 0x8401227a (-2080300422)

Flash: Phone reported that it does not allow to flash SW becasue it is older than existing.

Sorry mate downgrading the new BB5 phones is not possible via phoenix, try it with JAF *****ed.

Yes but those who know the algo are not willing to share, that's why they charge good amount for that.

no, jaf is a box that you have to buy
failing that go to phone repair shop they may be able to do it for you

where can I buy this JAF box? can I but this in cellphone shops in malls? or pc shops in malls?

and how much is this? u mean theres no software that I can download to downgrade my firmware of n81. I guess i have to accept it and wait for any updates again.

Allow SW Downgrade checkbox:

Enables phone firmware downgrade if the flashed firmware version is older than in phone. However, this works only for CDMA phones. Downgrading of BB5 phones is restricted by security certificates and is allowed only when R&D certificates are used.

this is one option in Phoenix. I wonder how I can bypass or use R&D certificate so that I can downgrade my firmware aaaahhh!

i have a n95 phone . i have a product code that was not suitable for the upgradation of firmware v 30 so i changed the product code of my phone to different code that was suitable for v30 but when i tried to upgrade it was all fine but in between my phone got off but i hve connected the phone to charger then also. now i tried to on the phone it starts with a vibrate and the screen of the phone becomes black. i tried to repair but i failed then i gave the phone to nokia repair centre but then also returned the phone without repairing that the phone is not taking the software. plz can u help me on this . i live in india.

is it normal while flashing a dead phone, the phone cant switch on? but still the phoenix is running and inializing the phone..plz reply soon...thank you very much...
