SfondiX for S60
(im not sure whther it will work on previous versions)

I came across this problem of BLURRED wallpapers in my Nokia 6600, whilst the pictures looked crisp and vivid in the Gallery's Picture Viewer

I searched over the net and finally found the Solution:

SfondiX enables you to set up a wallpaper MUCH more vivid and crisper than what Nokia's built in wallpaper code has to offer

The Image above shows a Zoomed in screen shot of the wallpaper in which differences of quality is acheived. You can see that sfondi produces more vivid images of the wallpaper. (Do pay extra attention to the grapes and the leaves)

Attached I have the SfondiX Application as well as a bunch of quality wallpapers that you SHOULD definitely experiment on... (some I made myself, and some extracted from the "Aanix" and "Windows Vista Blue" theme by BayXsonic

Since SfondiX is in a different language, ive also made it clearer in the above pics

this is a freeware tool...and ther's no english version...the app comes from italy...so...italian is the default language

there is another solution .....that i found out as i have been facing the same prob in my 6630... i used "PHOTORITE SP" (already posted) to set pics as my wallpapers and the result was dramatic. i got the same quality as i do in the gallery. and also another feature of auto correcting the pic makes the Photorite the best imaing software i have used yet inmy s60;;;;;;;

it really gonna work!!

in my 6600 the quality of the wallpapers becomes superb!!

no need to get a 256k colour comatable phone after installing it!!
