N-Gage Tested Software List

First off, I'd liek to thank all of the people that have contributed to this site. I have learned more about handphones from this forum in one month than I would ever have in a lifetime on the streets.

Okie, on to business. I am a n-gage fan. I have the original and a recent N-Gage QD. I have noticed that although the N-gage runs S60, not all the software for the S60 goes well with the NG. So I hope that all you veterans out there will post your NG tested software here.

To kick things off, here's a few from me.

An all rounder applications manager. Better than the one from Psiloc cause it requires less hassle to install. A must for all N-Gage entry level and regular users.

Your N-Gage (QD) looking a bit drab due to them ugly default Icons? Wanna add a touch of cuteness and a dab of eye candy to it? Look no further me friends~ SysIconz is here to save the day~

A word of caution though. This lil gem of a app is a big eater. Prepare to sacrifice fast startups to get this app going. Takes a lot of mem but still worth it~

One thig about the N-gage, it don't have a default option to store your messages directly to your MMC!! For fans of big bluetooth transfers, this is gonna drive your NG bonkers.

Here's a lil patch to directly route your messages to your MMC.

this topic is great, all ngage apps compatibility! keep updating this topic(under observation to make it sticky.), i think this is very useful for everybody who loves ngage..

Another beaut of an app that really makes the N-Gage (QD) shine. Practically one of the best MP3 player for the N-Gage that I have used. Sounds teriffic though not much of a looker and stable to boot~

The N-Gage has the word fun allover it, so what to make it more fun than to have your friends ugly mug staring at you when the phone rings~ Muaha! Here's a app just for it; FSCaller~

WARNING: The instruction below is not for the faint hearted

As we all know, the N-Gage though powerful as it is, still cannot support chinese characters~ Now here is a technical guide to make your N-Gage, chinese enabled. You'd need a computer and a card reader for this.. not a must but better.

Muahaha~ Appealing, no? Okie here goes~

1. Backup your contacts and messages
2. Extract the downloaded files into a folder. It should contain 5 files.

3. Copy all the files into a temp folder in your MMC
4. Use your explorer (mine is FExplorer) to create a new folder called
fonts in your MMC system folder. E.G. (your mmc):/system/fonts
5. Copy the files with the .gdr extension into the fonts folder you just
created in your MMC.
6. Now browse to your C:\system\ and create a fonts folder
7. Copy the two remaining files (FontRouter.dll & FontRouter.ini) into the
C:\System\Fonts folder.
8. Cross fingers and Reboot the N-Gage!

If everything is ok your N-Gage should now be able to display Chinese characters. Input chinese charactes is a story for another day

Ah hah~ If you live in the middle of the jungle like I do, you're gonna be at tooth's end trying to fight off them damn mosquitoes everynight. Here's an anti mosquito app that'll give you some salvation to that hell.

A lot of people have wondered about the effectiveness of this program. I tested it personnally at the expense of my own blood mind you, and I have to admit, it DOES work.....

But a few persistent ones did manage to get a few bites in though...

hi guys.. time for you to help me now. i need an alarm application for my QD. it should have the option of setting your own WAV file as the ringer for the alarm and should not need setting up daily.

please dont suggest PSILOC SYSTOOLS. i am tired of the software. someone PLZ PLZ PLZ help me
