TUTORIALS

1)Tutorial of games in PC section. How to mount, what images are what etc..

EXTRACTING GAMES!

OK first of all download your game and you may have between 2-70 files depending on game/server it was hosted on..

if one of your files end in .rar you will need either Winrar or 7-zip to unzip them to your hard drive. In some case when you extract the first it will extract the full game iso for you from all the files as its split amongst the rar files... On the odd occasion each rar file may contain another 2 or sometimes more this is usually done to check authenticy of some groups releases and shouldnt be a prob.. The only issue with this is instead of just extracteing the .rar file you have to extract all the files you downloaded 1 by 1. A quick way of telling usually if you have this setup ius the speed the first rar file extracts if it s full pc game like FEAR for example it wont extract a 4 gig iso within 30 seconds so it obviously has more parts.... One extracted all the parts you end up with an...

ISO'S AND WHAT TO DO WITH THEM!

Isos usually come in 1,2 or 4 parts and the format is either .img, .iso, .mdf, .bin these are images and usually come with extra files like .sub, .ccd, .mds, .cue.

The extra file is there only to tell your software how to burn the disc correctly .iso and .img format usually dont need these extra file but .bin and .mdf usually do..

People usually make a mistake with .iso files and extract them (especially for psp games) this is because winrar is set to read .iso files for your own sake and time disable this feature in winrar! you cna still open .isos with winrar if you want by using "open with" right click command. As with xp it will hide the extension .iso and it will oook like an ordinary rar file.

OK now for compressed isos.... well PSP runs compressed isos to save room on your card these are .cso and .dax these dont need any extra files to burn as they are for your memory card and just need copying over and ran using there own software (check psp help for more on this)

MOUNTING IMAGES!

Definetly my fav I dont burn games straight onto DVD's/CD's these days as this is a lot easier so i cna have several games on a single dvd. Even though I do this you must ALWAYS mount an image from your hard drive not a DVD for stability reasons..

Ok to mount images you need 1 of 2 programs:-

Alcohol 120% - This mounts most images I think the only one it dont is .img and gives most options for virtual mounting including amount of virtual drives (btw virtual drives are what you mount to its a fake DVD drive)

Daemon Tools - Free, can mount anything has all the special options so you can play most copys without *****ing the games this is 10X better than alcohol BUT alcohol can burn all images but .img and deamon cannot burn any... NOTE: once again in .img files when you goto search for your .img iso in daemon tools you notice it wont find it make sure all files is selected as daemon claims its not compatible with these files but it really is..

*****ING THE GAME!

Probably the easiest step but I will explain..
OK first of all when installed goto "my computer" right click on your virtual drive and click open.. The reason we don't double click as that usually starts the installer etc... in that folder usually the ***** is in a folder called "*****" or "Razor 1911" or something similar.. it all depends on releaser. If your game is a CLONE you will not find a ***** on the disc and can only run through mounting... Anyways when in this folder you should see an exe file exactly the same as the one you goto to run your game with the only differnce is the sizes. (btw this is not always the case sometimes it may be a .dat file for instance) with this file all you have to do is paste over your original game file on your hdd then launch! if you have probs figuring out where exactly you installed it goto the games shortcut in your startmenu/desktop right click - properties and click find target to instanlty go there..

MINI IMAGES
Mini images are a fav of a lot of people basically when you installed the game you mount the image and it fools your pc into thinking its an original disc so no ***** needed and best of all the image is usually only about 10 meg although mounted it will say the full size e.g. 3.4 gig. So just mount and play usually.. sometime you may need to run an extra piece of software to get it running in this case READ THE NFO

EXTRAS!

CLONE GAMES!
A lot of games b4 they are *****ed come out as CLONES this happens if its a new security technology usually and the only way these can be used is through mounting and running extra software like sf disc hide etc.. but always check the .nfo for help with these there really good.. Basically a clone of a disc is an EXACT copy of a disc with nothing modified including security measures.

BURNING GAMES!
Simple as anything and probably even your nan knows how to do it but heres a list of software to do it with..

Alcohol 120% - Burns 90% of image types as its image software meant for that but like I said earlier alcohol has probs with .img files so for img files use

Nero Burning Rom - Probably the most famous burning software and is on as many pcs as Windows XP. Can burn a handful of images including the older format .img

there are a lot of other burning software out there but these are constantly updated like every week to burn faster on your burners and really do everything between them..
