Transfer photo album from iPad 2 to Mac OS

Hi,
Recently i was bothered by a problem.It is how can I transfer a photo album from my iPad2 to a Mac computer using Lion? Somehow iPhoto on my Mac can't find my photo album on the iPad. Album doesn't show up in iTunes either.

1. Plug in your iPad
2. Navigate to the Applications folder on your mac and find Utilities folder
3. Open image capture
4 you iPad should show up as a device in the list. From this app you can export your items.
