300 The Mobile Game

Mobile Mass Combat - like nothing you've ever experienced on a phone! Enter an ancient world of honor and sacrifice where you control a legion of Spartan warriors against the Persian army. The epic movie comes to life in single & cooperative story modes, & multiple challenges. Plays like a casual arcade game, but features 100s of units on screen at once and landscapes that change as the bodies pile up. Strategize alone, or with a friend on a single handset. The fate of Sparta is in your hands.

The fate of Sparta is in your hands. Join the battle as 100s of warriors descend on your phone in this Mobile Mass Combat Game.
Strategize against enemies alone, or with a friend on a single handset.

[Instructions]
The player controls his/her units by pointing and clicking a target area on the battlefield. The pointer is moved with the D-pad and the target area under the pointer is selected with the fire / OK key. The player can switch between battle stances using the left softkey or button 1 on the numpad. There are a total of four different stances.

[IGN review]
Universomo is creating a large-scale epic battle game where you direct Sparta's armies across a series of bleak, war-torn environments. Squadrons of Persian soldiers must be flanked, run through, and destroyed to protect Sparta. The scope of the battles in immense -- at times, approximately 100 soldiers fill the screen, clashing with swords and shields. The soldier sprites are naturally a bit on the small side so such action scenes are possible.

What surprised me about 300 right away was the violence. I'm very used to mobile games that shy away from bloodshed, but these battlefields are soaked in crimson. As you point and click to direct your army, forces clash with brutal results. From time to time, your men enter Rage Mode, and then they absolutely slaughter incoming forces.
