Comment: i've had this book for i don't know how many years and finally deceided to read it. i thought this was a really good read. he didn't let anyone or anything hold him down, worked hard at whatever job he could get and didn't turn his nose up at a job. he took whatever was available, which is a good lesson for lots of men these days. he did what he had to do to take care of his family. the stories about his friends and how he got started were funny, i found myself chuckling every now and then. you learned things about him that you would've never known and he talked about how his certain catch phrases got started. he will forever be missed.

Comment: Didn't know Bernie had wrote a book so when I say he had I had to get it. It was a good read and from a person from the same home town. It was a simular back ground and from the same neighborhood.

Comment: I took interest in Bernie Mac after his death. I bought this book with cero expectactions. Once I start readind it, I can't stop until I finish.
It is excellent. I cried a lot and also laugh. Is a real journey of pure sentiment. Bernie Mac proved to all that he was a genuine person.

Comment: This may not be War and Peace, but it had an impact on me that made me want more of Bernie Mac. What a deep, genuine person we had in him. We will sorely miss his humor and his integrity. From humble beginnings come great people. O Bernie, we hardly knew ye.
