The movie tie-in edition of the #1 bestselling trade paperback includes a collectible full-color, fold-out poster with photos of the movie cast on both sides.
In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed" lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Customer Rating: Summary: New Moon Twilight Saga book 2 Comment: First of all I would like to say that before the first movie came out I never even heard of Twilight. After finding the only scenes in the first movie that I like was Bella dinner with the vampires, the baseball game and the dance I was sort of glad I didn't read the book. The previews for the second movie however interested me enough that I decided to buy New Moon book and read it.
Much to my surprise book 2 was very interesting with Edward and Bella relationship as well as Jacob and the were wolves pack. Alice I found a most interesting character with her relationship and advice to Bella. When Edward tried to leave Bella I found all of Bella activities like cliff jumping and motorcycle riding a surprise as was Edward odd purposal of marriage to her. My favorite scenes was Bella having the vampires actually vote on if she going to be a real member of the family and eventually turned or not. I know one of my disapointments with the first movie was my liking in these vampire romance story having the human lover turn at the end.
Customer Rating: Summary: TEAM JACOB! Comment: This is my favorite book in the series. I actually love when the vampires lives because I felt like they weren't really that important. The most humorest scene in the whole book is the scene in the forest when Edward tells Bella that he doesn't want her anymore. I laughed the whole time I read it. I got to the part where she laid down in the forest and almost choked on laughter. She's pathetic in so many ways, and the only reason why I read the books were because I'm in love with Jacob. He's the best part of the series. Edward is just a pretty boy, and to me, he lacks a certain depth. ANd as good-looking as Robert Pattinson, its not enough. Edward's character lacks a certain depth. Not to mention he's controlling. Bella just makes women look bad in general. She acts as though she NEEDS a men to be in her life. Haven't she existed for 16 yrs without one in the beginning. But the main reason I dislike her is because she hurts Jacob. She uses him as a sheild. She jumps at the first sign of a vampire. For example: Laurent. Jacob and the wolves give the book so much humor and have you cursing the vampire's return.
Customer Rating: Summary: Awful writing Comment: The first Twilight novel was very hard to get through, and I only read this one because a collegue of mine told me that New Moon was the one that would "really" kick off the series. Well, he was wrong.
It seems to me that this book could have been written by a 5th grade student with very limited vocabulary and writing skills that are mediocre at best. I have yet to read another published work that is so terribly written, repetitive and self-indulgent. I can see why young females (with a rather low self-esteem) dig these books, but for someone who occasinally enjoys other books by other authors, it's just garbage. Stay away, I will from now on.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's just entertaining Comment: The second in the teenage vampire romance series finds Edward conflicted about the danger he and his family bring to Bella. Deciding they do her more harm than good, the Cullen family leaves Forks, and Bella sinks into a deep depression. Her only saving grace is Jacob Black, the son of her father's friend, who quickly becomes someone of great importance to her, the only safe harbor she can find. But when Jake's open and friendly demeanor changes abrubptly, Bella is left to figure out what keeps changing the boys in Forks.
What I keep waiting to find out is "why Bella?" I'm hoping that by the end of the series, I'll learn the answer to that. Don't tell me the answer, I want to find out on my own :::sticks fingers in ears and sings la lala:::.
While the Twilight saga will never be viewed as great literature, so far I'm enjoying the ride. They've been good for cold wintery weekends when I just want to stay home and get lost in someone else's drama for a while. Fortunately, Bella has a LOT of drama so it's very easy to sink into.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not as yummy as twilight, but still good Comment: There was a certain anguish in this book that lasted a bit to long for me. But I still really enjoyed it. Definitely read it so that you can go through the whole series.
