This bestselling professional reference has helped over 100,000 engineers and scientists with the success of their experiments. The new edition includes more software examples taken from the three most dominant programs in the field: Minitab, JMP, and SAS. Additional material has also been added in several chapters, including new developments in robust design and factorial designs. New examples and exercises are also presented to illustrate the use of designed experiments in service and transactional organizations. Engineers will be able to apply this information to improve the quality and efficiency of working systems.

Customer Rating: Summary: Just answers no descriptions Comment: It doesn't explain how it comes to its conclusions, it just gives the final answer. No help for me.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for learning statistics. Comment: Remember that the international student edition and the standard student manual are different in the organization of the numbered problems.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fairly Helpful Manual Comment: This manual has the solutions for all of the marked problems in the book. They are mostly done using MINITAB, so if you use a different program you may get slightly different answers. Overall, it is helpul for checking your solutions to the practice problems.
Customer Rating: Summary: Solutions Manual Comment: The manual is ok if you already have the basics of statistics. Some things are not as thouroughy explained, but it's good enough. Does not have the answers to all problems, only selected ones.
Customer Rating: Summary: Usable in industry-YES Comment: After working in industry for 30+ years and teaching DOX at the University level as well, I can say that when you wnat to get the ideas of DOX across to the real USERS- i.e. researchers , engineers, etc. Doug Montgomery's book(s) are terrific. This edition is no exception, it continues the trend of getting a good book on DOX even better with the 7th edition.. highly recommended!
