Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: good solid prep materials Comment: Working with the actual tests is preferable to the faux versions created by test prep companies and this book gives you lots of them, with no explanations just answer keys. However, these tests are from the late nineties-early new millenium years. Still relevant but you might want to seek out some of the even more recent tests published individually to supplement your studies. Customer Rating: Summary: LOVE IT!! Comment: While I looked in this book I saw the year 2000 etc. of the tests, and I really don't care, some people do but I don't. This book shows you what questions were used and the test I'm taking might have some of these questions or similar. I really like this book. Customer Rating: Summary: What I wanted Comment: This is exactly what I wanted to help me study for the LSAT. I haven't taken it yet, but with I hope with this book and the other study aids I'm able to get the score I want. Customer Rating: Summary: MANDATORY for anyone not taking an actual prep course. Comment: Well if you are not taking an actual LSAT prep course, then how are you going to get access to actual LSAT practice tests? By the way you can walk into your friendly neighborhood bookstore and grab a copy of any number of different prep books, such as Princeton Review, Kaplan, McGraw Hill, etc. The problem is that the practice tests in those books ARE NOT ACTUAL LSAT TESTS FROM THE PREVIOUS YEARS, which are the ONLY ones you should be practicing with. What is the point of taking a practice test that is not written by the test makers? Sure it will get you better at taking that particular type of test, but it is NOT WHAT YOU WILL BE TESTED OVER ON THE ACTUAL LSAT. So with that being said, please understand that this book contains 10 actual LSAT tests that were administered between the years of 1999-2002. The only difference between these tests and the one you will be taking is that the one you will be taking will include a comparative reading passage. This has been added to the test in 2007. However, you can download the June 2007 test from the LSAC website for free. You can also download the June 1996 test for free (just go to google and type in "LSAC practice test"). I recommend you take the free 1996 test to see the difference between taking the test ACTUALLY written by the test makers and the ones available in the retail stores.
