Since she was a little girl, Emma Grant has always loved romance. So it’s really no surprise that she has found her calling as a wedding florist. She gets to play with flowers every day and work with her three best friends in the process. She couldn’t ask for a better job.
And on the surface, Emma’s love life seems to be thriving. Slim and sultry, she brings color into every room she enters, just like the arrangements she creates. Men swarm around her, yet she still hasn’t found Mr. Right. And the last place she’s looking is right under her nose.
But that’s just where Jack Cooke is. He’s been best friends with Parker’s brother for years, which makes him practically family. The architect has begun to admit to himself that his feelings for Emma have developed into much more than friendship. And when Emma returns his passion — kiss for blistering kiss—things start to get complicated at Vows.
Jack has never been big on commitment. Emma yearns for a lifelong love affair. If the two are to find common ground, they must trust in their history — and in their hearts…

Customer Rating: Summary: A good romance Comment: The first book in the Bride Quartet series, Vision in White, was one of my first reviews. I like Nora Roberts, as you know exactly what you'll get from her books: a good, old-fashioned, happily-ever-after romance. Sometimes I'm just in the mood for happily-ever-after, and Nora never disappoints.
This one picked up shortly after the first story and focuses on Emma, the florist. Emma is the most romantic one of the four friends, but she's no pushover. Emma and Jack have known each other for years, so are both a little surprised when their relationship takes a romantic turn. You know the story: boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy wins girl back and they live happily ever after.
This was a fast read with no surprises and about halfway thru the book, I had a pretty good idea who the remaining two women will wind up with. No worries, as getting there is half the fun! I gave this book a 3/5 rating because while it's not outstanding, it's still very readable. Nothing groundbreaking or original, but very well done and you get exactly what you came for. Another job well done Nora!
Customer Rating: Summary: A MUST READ!!!! Comment: This is such a good book. I read this in 2 days. I liked this even better than the first in the sequel. The characters were great and I am so looking forward to her next one!!! Definitely a great Nora Roberts book.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nora Roberts Delivers Comment: If you are a Nora Roberts fan, you'll enjoy "Bed of Roses", the second book in the Bride Quartet. Is it great literature? No. But it is a relaxing, easy-to-read modern romance. If you need a break from the realities of life, this series offers everything: attractive women with great careers meeting and falling in love with wonderful, handsome men.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great romance! Comment: Nora Roberts is a big seller, no matter what. This series is no different! The romance is a wonderful get-away for the reader. Roberts has a way of placing the reader right into the heart and mind of the main character of the story. And what more romantic story than a wedding event company and all of their doings? Funny, romantic and truly fun to read, you'll love this book if you like Roberts romances. There are Roberts books that are better, but this one is terrific. Be sure to read "Vision in White" first, though. You don't have to have the background to enjoy the book, but you'll know the characters better if you do.
Customer Rating: Summary: Romance at its modern day best. Comment: Four childhood friends grew up together and spent almost all their spare time together, sharing their hopes and dreams. Once grown, these four women combined their individual talents to create a wedding planning company, Vows. Mackensie "Mac" Elliot works magic with her photography. Laurel McBane creates the cakes, pastries, and all things so deliciously sweet that little cherubs probably weep from bliss. Emmaline "Emma" Grant handles all greenery and flowers with such aplomb that clients often wonder if she is related to Mother Nature herself. And Parker Brown handles all the other details, being pleasant and/or sympathetic when needs be or dealing with problems like a general during wartime.
On their side, pitching in as needed, the four ladies have Parker's housekeeper, Mrs. G, who has been like a mother to the female quartet. Delaney "Del" Brown, Parker's brother, is a high priced attorney and handles the legal side of Vows with a golden touch. And Jack Cooke is the architect who has been Del's best friend forever and is ALMOST as much an honorary Brown family member as Parker's girlfriends.
According to everyone else, Emma's beauty outshines all others. Yet Emma has never considered herself to be any more special than the next woman. Emma's talent with flora is unmatched. She has the ability to accurately envision exactly what the bride wants and then adds her own personal touch to ensure that all who attend the wedding would later swear the ceremony had been held in Eden.
Though men swarm around her, Emma has never found the man that could sweep her off her feet. However, Jack has had his eyes on Emma for quite a while. He has only kept his distance because Del considers Emma to be his honorary sister. Then comes the moment when Jack acts on instinct and gives in to his urge to kiss Emma. And thus Emma's world tilts and her story begins...
**** FOUR STARS! Nora Roberts writes stories with such seemingly ease that many envy her. It is no wonder readers flock to the book stores for her titles. This story is a good example as to why. Each character is well developed and have their own little personality quirks, making them unique and endearing. As I watched the ladies interact with each other, I saw parallels to many past times I have been with my own close girlfriends. This is Romance at its modern day best. ****
