Comment: I understand the book will be recalled... that can be very good becuase there are over 50 mistakes in the book. It is pathetic to have a book from APA with mistakes.

Comment: The manual is quite useful but I would suggest that future purchasers make sure they have the corrected edition. In the first printing, July 2009, of the 6th edition there were a few errors which need to be corrected. Go to the following site for the necessary corrections.

Comment: This is the response I received from APA Customer Service regarding replacing the first printing:
"Many people have found that the corrections supplement meets their needs; if you find, however, that it doesn't meet yours we will send you a replacement copy of the second printing (the second printing corrects all the known errors) of the Manual at no cost to you. We are making this replacement process available to anyone who purchased the manual. In order to receive a replacement manual you will have to return your current copy of the 6th edition to APA no later than December 15. We would like to make this transaction as cost neutral to you as possible so we are currently researching being able to provide you with pre-paid postage you can use to return the book to us. This process will be available by November 2. If you are interested in a replacement copy please contact the APA Service Center after November 2 for further information - Service Center staff can be reached at: 800 374-2721."

Summary: APA's Publication Manual
Comment: I hope you can find it at a great price, as I did. It's an excellent resource. It's small, so it's easy to carry around along with all my other books. The only reason I didn't give it 5/5 stars is that the lay out can be confusing at times, especially when looking up how to cite resources that are new to me. It's no a big detractor though, because as soon as I find what I'm looking for, it's easy to remember it's place.

Comment: I ordered 15 copies of this publication for my faculty members here at our University. i received them as promised with one problem. there were many errors in this particular publication. but the publisher is sending 15 copies of the corrected version to us. i am most happy with this transaction. They were more than accomodating in getting me the corrected version of this book.
