Summary: One of my favorites for the GBA
Comment: Fun game but the graphics r not as good as the 64s. It is more like the snes version for graphics anyway. I played this game all the time when it first came out. It was the only GBA game i wanted to play after a while. It has a good two player mode not many GBA games had two player. I thought the graphics were good at first untill i got the ds mario kart and i stoped playing it. Then i thought the graphics were horrible but u got to remember its the GBA and it came out in 2001. Now its 2009 and sometimes i still play it. The 64 graphics were only better because nintindo went computerized with is so it had more of unblocky graphics. But this and the snes have about the same graphics. The sound is pretty good so over all i give this game a 7.5/10 but mostly because of the graphics compared to the ds but i got to remember that it is 8 years old.

Summary: Multiplayer is a near impossible option, but still a very good game
Comment: Mario Kart: Super Circuit is a blend of concepts from the SNES Mario Kart and the N64 Mario Kart, all squished onto a tiny GBA cart. For its time, its graphics were impressive, and they still look pretty good thanks to bright colors and consistent art design.

The music is catchy, the sound effects add some personality, and the overall presentation is very slick.

The gameplay feels more like the SNES Mario Kart but with some refinement. Coins still litter the tracks, which adds a metagame to the proceedings. In order to achieve high rankings in cups, players need to collect lots of coins, use items effectively, AND get good times.

The items are just as useful as they ever were, taking a page from Mario Kart 64 as far as their execution is concerned: items can be be held onto, thrown forward and backward, etc. The items are essentially a copy of everything from Mario Kart 64, and that's all that was needed here. The controls can feel a bit cramped after long periods of play due to the mandatory use of both shoulder buttons and heavy use of the D pad while the A button is held down the majority of the time. If you've played Mario Kart DS, the button layout will be practically the same on your DS. The physics, as with each Mario Kart, have their own feel this time, and are more reminiscent of the SNES title.

Lastly, and most importantly, the track design is superb. Not only are all of the SNES tracks unlockable, there's a full set of brand new ones, and many of them are some of the most clever in the whole series. The new tracks look great and play excellently, with plenty of curves and turns and obstacles, each one feeling unique, for the most part.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit main flaw is that multiplayer is relatively bust. You'll need AT LEAST multiple GBA and link cables, (can't do it on the DS) plus you'll want multiple copies of the game for the full experience. Players can't do Battle Mode against CPUs, either, which is a disappointment. That said, this title is still quite fun even with just its single player stuff, and is n my opinion one of the best GBA games out there and one of the top Mario Kart games. Give it a go if only to experience the sweet tracks and revisit old ones.

Summary: Music Grates your nerves
Comment: I love every aspect of this game, but there is no option to turn OFF
the Background Music. This is a major complaint I have about all
games. If you want to hear the sound effects only, you aint getting it
here.

Summary: WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? MARIO KART ROCKS! 8.5 OUT OF 10
Comment: Mario Kart is still hands down one of the best racing games ever made, and this Game Boy Advance version doesn't say otherwise. The graphics are still nicely detailed for a handheld game to the point of where it looks like a console game. The racing tracks are still awesome as they were in past iterations, the weapons are still excellent, the classic characters are still a lot of fun to play, and basically everything is still good. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel as good as my SNES and N64 Mario Kart games, it's still a lot of fun, but it just isn't as good. Still, it's one of the best handheld racers ever made, and there's no reason you shouldn't like it unless you dislike fun in general.
