Summary: Nothing but Ads
Comment: I have been reading Wired for several years and it has always been a good read with interesting articles and neat little tid bit pieces. However, the last few issues have been filled with advertisements. It got to the point with the latest isse that I ended up halfway through and quit reading the magazine and just started counting the ads. There was an advertisement on every other page. Sadly it is time to let this subscription lapse and move on to something that puts more effort into filling the pages with content.

Comment: Currently my favorite magazine. It focuses on technology and its effect on society. So you get more diverse articles (art, music, movies, etc.) than some purely science based magazines.

Pro: Well written articles, eye catching graphics, challenging ones own ideas and expanding them in other directions while not overwhelming the reader...oh yeah, lots of gadgets.

Summary:
An excellent technology magazine for the rest of us. Difficult to compare to other magazines covering technological topics and ideas. Wired is written in an interesting and easy to understand manner if you enjoy the world of technology. Content I have read in Wired have ranged from mind expanding to humorous. Every turn of the page is eagerly anticipated in wanting to see or read whats next. This magazine is not a one and done read, I often will go through it several times looking for anything I may have missed. This magazine certainly keeps the young and old neurons (brain cells) firing!
Recommendation: Strong Buy (purchased through Amazon will save you $'s)

Comment: Wired is not a magazine, it's an institution. They have their fingers on the pulse of all things new, and do a great job at finding the irony and humor in where we are going as a culture. Also makes a great gift.

Summary: Wonderful feature articles
Comment: I love reading Wired magazine because of the quality in the articles it publishes. Just recently there was an article written where the author attempted to disappear and remain missing for 30 days without being found. Although he was close, the author was ultimately discovered close to the end of 30 days through some sophisticated techniques used by a team of readers. Which reveals the difficulty of remaining anonymous and disconnected from the world in this day and age.
For those interested in gadgets, and technology, I recommended subscription to Wired, as it provides an interesting reach every month with its in-depth feature articles.
