Customer Rating: Summary: Helpful Comment: I've been a Mac user for 20 years and never subscribed to a computer magazine. In two issues, I've already learned a couple of new tricks. Well worth the price.
Customer Rating: Summary: Better have some knowlege going in. Comment: Being new to the Apple experience I thought this might be helpful. It is not. I am not the most computer savvy person but I do use a windows based PC with the standard Office apps every day. This magazine assumes a higher level of MAC awareness then I possess. I was hoping for more of an introduction to using the different mac apps. I will not renew this.
Customer Rating: Summary: Useless Magazine Comment: Mac Life magazine is useless -- as a new Mac user I thought it might be helpful in learning about Macs, but during my year's subscription I read maybe 2 helpful articles. The bulk of the Magazine for more than half of the year has been about iPhone and apps. Not being interested in either, I found little in the magazine that was worth reading. Sure, some of the many ads are interesting, but I don't need to pay money to read them!
I will not be renewing my subscription and have been very disappointed in this magazine.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful Magazine (if your into Mac) Comment: I bought this since I have an iPod and wanted to be able to preview new personal device items from Mac. It shows some good things in the area I wanted, but it shows, mostly, a great deal about Mac computers and programming them. So its perfect if you have a Mac computer.
Customer Rating: Summary: A good magazine, would like a little more content and less ads Comment: MacLife is a good magazine. Every month it covers a lot of the hottest topics and has a decent balance between content and ads, but as a paying subscriber I would really like to see a lot more content and a lot less ads. If you want to get a feel for what the magazine is like you can visit their website at www.maclife.com and see the quality of the articles they write.
