Customer Rating: Summary: Why ask for a Review ? Comment: Haven't received anything yet... in fact AFTER I commited to purchasing this magazine, I received a message saying that it was not published on a regular basis... and (to be fair to Amazon) charges would be posted only after the first magazine has been sent... I wish Amazon would put this info in the description/up front... I was disappointed for the kid.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best Mag for kids that love nature Comment: We have subscribed for over three years, still my son can't put it down. The day it arrives in the mail he reads the whole magazine and absolutely loves it. I like the fact that has no advertisement and the narticles and photographs are really high quality. The photographs are many times from the best photographers in the world.
Undoubtely the best magazine for kids that love nature and animals.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for little scientists Comment: This is a wonderful magazine with NO advertising of commercial products. All our kids like to look at this magazine, it has Real photos, and keeps the interest of the older kids (8-10-12) It's not gender specific, my girls and boys both like it. Big Back Yard is good too, but better for the 4-8 year old set. Ranger Rick is great for independent readers. And if you're ok with them learning about environmental issues from a "go green" perspective it is fine for them to read unsupervised.
Customer Rating: Summary: A classic magazine for kids! Comment: This magazine is such a wonderful learning experience for children. Since it's beginning in 1967 it's remained a classic and fun educating tool for parents to give their kids.
Customer Rating: Summary: My friend's kid loved it Comment: Great gift for a kid - gave it to my buddy's kid for his birthday, and now he gets it every month, and loves it.
I loved it when I was a kid, too! I was very sad when I finally outgrew it (got it for years).
