Customer Rating: Summary: Fortune subscription Comment: I have read fortune for years and really enjoy the magazine. Why is it in this age of JIT-everything I can order a magazine in less than a minute but it takes 6 weeks for the company to send me the first magazine??? This doesn't make any sense!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Cover to cover Comment: I've read Fortune magazine cover to cover for 20 years. I like the company profiles and Stanley Bing's satire of the executive suite.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's a must read Comment: As a longterm subscriber I can't say much other than if you are interested in busines and investing you should read every issue. It's not going to give you lists of "Hot Stocks" to buy like most other "investing magazines" but rather it gives you information about a company or industry that might be good investments.
Customer Rating: Summary: FORTUNE Is Top Notch Comment: This is a magazine which is well worth the price of admission--for what it has contributed to my life it's been invaluable. The writing by its well seasoned, expert reporters is well...outstanding, some of whom are the superstars of financial reportage. But there's more! This isn't just a magazine about personal finance which is living off its brand name. One can find articles about current events throughout the globe which can affect our personal finances; stories about the latest in technological advances and how one might pursue an investment play; reports on the "dirt" in today's mega-corporations; the latest investment trends in commodities including the whys and whynots to consider them; and editorials by reporters who are informative as well as enjoyably entertaining. (They don't let good reporting get in the way of a captivating read.) Geoff Colvin is my favorite. (Andy Serwer: You don't pay these people enough!) Please let me add articles about travel, automobiles, and enjoying life to the fullest. FORTUNE seems to have a slant towards the CEOs in our population, but I'm always interested in reading things they might be reading (I might learn a thing or two about how a CEO thinks) even though I'll never live that kind of life. The issue which is ALWAYS a keeper is the end of year investment guide to give one the heads up on where to seek out new money over the next 365 days. Don't miss it...Do I like FORTUNE? Oh yeahh...keep giving me some more good stuff y'all!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Outrageous cost Comment: I ordered the subscription at $29.98 for the year, then happened to be at a bookstore the next day and saw that the insert in the magazine had the cost at only $19.98!!! Amazon was 50% more expensive, so I immediately cancelled the subscription order from Amazon. Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to see that Amazon was gouging me by 50%
