Customer Rating: Summary: Lovely escape into Venice Comment: This is a lightweight film, though thoroughly engaging...and, given the domestic circumstances and meagre love offered by her careerist husband, we wish our heroine every success on her Venetian fantasy. My favourite is the middle-aged guy, in more desperate strights than her, who has the most brilliant mode of expression, quaint to a fault, given his senior years and his plunge into a touristic, foreign country, from Iceland. He's an absolute charmer!

Customer Rating: Summary: molti bene Comment: It was a good movie that held my attention throughout its viewing. The star of the movie, while on her adventure met many friends, some of which she eventially reunited with toward the end of the movie. Overall, it was a poeasent movie to view.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great movie! Comment: One of my favorite movies, hands down. Funny, touching, and she plays the accordion. What more could you ask for?
Customer Rating: Summary: Cultural Arts Center of Saint Louis recommends Comment: When a harried housewife is accidentally left behind while on vacation with her family, she decides to take a holiday of her own in Venice. She becomes charmed by the city and her newfound freedom. She decides to extend her stay, finding a job in a flower shop, renting a room from a wistful waiter and rediscovers her love for playing the accordion. But her solo journey does not sit well with her tyrannical husband, who hires an amateur detective to bring her back home.
CAC's Comments: This film will make you laugh out loud, bring you to tears and fill you with joy all in one and a half hours. One of the best Italian films out there today.
