Bottom is solid . I was worried cause some reviews indicated a thin bottom.

Comment: This pressure cooker would be just fine except for one major flaw. The bottom of the pot is really thin, which makes for uneven heating & burning on the bottom. I'm returning this item and will spend a few bucks more to get a heavier pot.

Comment: I've used this pressure cooker for over three years and highly recommend it. It is well made and works great. You can make all kinds of meals quickly and healthfully. I use it about four or five times a week. Got one each for my daughter and son to use in their new homes. Great price and a great way to make delicious meals.
