Comment: I've been subscribing to Mother Earth News for many years. There are always interesting articles to help me in the garden, kitchen, and home. I love that the editors of this magazine really care about our Earth, and although sometimes they stray into foo foo articles, they keep on delivering the good information I need to live with more care on this Earth. Even my urbanite friends cannot resisting borrowing an issue or two from time to time.

Summary: In an age of "People", and "Spin", this magazine is a treasure
Comment: In an age where "People" magazine and "Enquirer" are bestsellers, this lovely magazine is a treasure. I actually appreciate the new glossy look. There's no reason why a magazine can't look beautiful and still be a useful product and informative. The gardening articles are always the best but the other material is good too.
The articles are always good and I usually read the magazine from cover to cover when I get it. A great choice for people who love the natural world.

Comment: We like this magazine, but the cover art is really cluttery, so they all look the same & we have a hard time going back to find articles we like. It covers a lot of basic info about natural living, gardening, farming, cooking, building, etc. A good resource, although some of the topics are covered more superficially than I would prefer, and some of it seems to be wishful thinking (like an article on how to build a home for $10,000, but that requires your whole family participate & that you have engineering expertise, not to mention owning equipment that must cost a lot more than the materials). But still a good magazine.
