Comment: This is a great product - really sucks! :) I have a 15 year old lab and as she has gotten older has lots of mistakes. I used to spend hours cleaning up after in the mornings, frustrating both of us. Now I am able to just grab the steam cleaner, fill it up and start cleaning. Accidents are cleaned up in about a quarter of the time! Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent for cleaning rugs Comment: I couldn't wait to use my new Hoover. I was winterizing our RV and I wanted to clean the rugs before we stored it. It did a wonderful job, it even cleaned an area rug by the doorway that was filthy and I was going to throw it out. I haven't used the power wand yet and if it performs the same way, it will be great. My only complaint is that it is a bit of a pain to attach the wand and I didn't have time to look into it at that moment. I'm sure after I do it once or twice, it will be fine. Customer Rating: Summary: Absolutely Wonderful Machine!! Comment: This thing is wonderful if you want clearner carpets period but especially if you have pets. I have two dogs, and one of them brought tons of mudd into the house and the other was always going to the bathroom or getting sick on the carpet when he was a puppy. AND we're renters!! So I knew come inspection time that we would get hit hard, so I bought this guy. The best present I ever bought myself. It wasn't too difficult to assemble, but the directions were a little confusing at first on what went where with the water and cleaning solution, but once you have it figured out, it's the simplist thing to use. It has wonderful suction so the carpet dries quickly. The tanks that hold the clean and dirty water are not that big, so for a small room I had to change it out and get more water almost 3 times but I was going very slowly since it was the first time cleaning. But it's very easy to add new water and dispose of the dirty. Also it handles pet hair well, not getting clogged. We did have a scare the first time we used it though. It just all of a sudden stopped sucking up the water and my husband was convinced we'd gotten a dud. We fiddled around until we found that the front piece of the tank that holds the dirty water wasn't shoved down all the way, so it was silly us. It picked up soo much from the carpets, I never realized just how dirty they were and the house smells cleaner because of it. Absolutely buy this product! Customer Rating: Summary: Clean the Indicator Screen Often! Comment: OK cleaner, but does not hold up as well as the predecessor Hoover model I owned for a couple of years. I've had this machine for a year and cleaned up all the crud left by kids, pets, and messy guests. I'd say my usage amount has been average to light. Use the recommended amounts of soap and HOT water and it does a decent job. The problem for me has been the the scrubbing brushes. I learned (the hard way) that if you do not keep the indicator screen very clean, the brushes will stop and the machine will break. Getting warranty service at my local repair shop was not a problem. The tech said he has been getting a run on repairs for these machines. Same problem, dirty screen equals seized brushes. I'm thinking my next carpet cleaner might not be a Hoover SteamVac.
