The La Crosse Technology WS-7014CH Wireless Weather Station transmits the remote temperature via a wireless 915 MHz transmission from the outdoor sensor to the indoor display unit at a range of up to 330 feet. The forecast icon is controlled by changes in the barometric pressure history for the past 36 hours, to generate a forecast for 12-20 hours in advance. Also displayed are indoor temperature and humidity, and time and date, which is set by the U.S. atomic clock.

Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic ! Comment: I confess: I'm a clock-thermometer addict :-)
I have a lot of thermometers of many kind, but this one is really cool!!!
The weather forecast is very accurate and the storage of Max/Min In/Out temperatures is a very nice touch.
I think the device is smaller that it seems in the photos. It has an excellent size for a desktop, but tiny for a wall.
Highly recommended!
Customer Rating: Summary: Quality Station......Small Readout Comment: La Crosse Technology is one of the oldest and most respected names in weather and other electronic gear of all kinds. If you're interested in a station that is going to last for years and comes from a company that is far from the new kid on the block, La Crosse would be a fine choice for you. As I have written in other weather station reviews, the cost of these units very much follows the features you get. Spend more money, and you get more way cool icons and numbers to look at. The Lacrosse 701 is a good example of this for what it offers. However I can find myself only recommending this particular model to those whose eyes are either still young or healthy enough that squinting will not become a mandatory practice just to see the temperature. I bought this unit on sale at a local store where it was packaged up and unable to be really seen. Getting it home I realized that the units window, the only part that really matters, is barely over an inch wide. Quite simply put, its very hard to see unless you stroll on over very close to it each time. Whether its on a table or a wall, (which it's not really designed for) I cannot recommend it for any setting where the buyer is hoping to just glance at it in a drive by, or from half way across the room or desk. (None of these stations ever tell you the screen size in their description. Its something you gamble with in buying online. And none of them I have ever seen are overly generous in their readout in any event). I ended up returning this model. If you're interested in a station that has all the features for about the same price, and by the same company, may I suggest the 9055, which I have enclosed a link for. It has all the same features, including the forecaster, that the 7104 has, but the readout screen is far more generous in size. Note that the 9055 is also a wall or stand alone unit combination. If your eyes have seen better days, and you are interested in a quality reasonably priced weather station, check out the La Crosse 9055. The 7041 is a fine unit, but its readout screen is just way too small in my opinion...

Customer Rating: Summary: Great Product!! Comment: My sister-in-law bought one of these weather stations for my husband and I several years ago. We loved it!! when my grandchildren got older, and cared about the weather, I thought "what a great gift for them and my daughter, so she would know the outside temperature before sending them off to school." So I bought her one, too, and they love it as much as we do!! Great product!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Looks better than it works Comment: I got this as a gift for myself so that I could keep track of the inside and outside temperature. At first, I was really pleased with how the product worked and looked, but after a while I noticed that the outdoor sensor seemed to gobble through batteries. I was changing them every two weeks. I realize that cold temps can sap batteries of their power, but I thought it was excessive. After about 4 months the sensor stopped working completely. This made me doubly angry when my Mother-in-law complained of the same problem with a second station that I gave to her for Christmas. I mean, the station looks really nice, and for the most part works fine for me, but to have so many reviews with complaints of the sensors not working show that there is a serious quality problem with this product. Disappointed.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice little weather station. Comment: + This is a nice little clock/weather station for the price.
+ Instruction were good and it was easily setup.
+ The slim design allows the unit to be mounted on a wall.
+ Love the idea of having a "go to" clock that you know is always right and do not have to change for daylight savings time twice a year.
- Though it looks nice, the actual screen could have been a little larger. It's a little hard for an older guy to see from across the room. :)
- The outdoor sensor should have been made weather resistant.
