Summary: Misleading subscription: back issues
Comment: My husband got this subscription for me, so I wasn't aware of the bad reviews. But I have to chime in with Beth, Melissa, and Ardella in saying that I was extremely disappointed. I also got several back issues, so that my "one year subscription" turned out to be three back issues and three new issues.
When I first got the back issues, I thought it was actually pretty cool since I assumed I'd be getting a full year's subscription (6 issues), plus a handful of back issues. You know, kind of a bonus. No. I just got three old ones and three new ones. That's it. I'm completely annoyed.
The articles are good in that they do make for light reading: a nice refresher when you're exhausted at the end of the day. But most either weren't particulary relevant to my practice (adult med-surg), or they were something that most nurses probably already get as part of their annual employee training at work, or they just weren't especially insightful. I would say there was an average of one good article per issue.

Comment: This may be a good magazine, but if you only get it once in a while and cannot access anything online what good is it? A waste of money. You cannot get a person on the phone and the website is useless.

Summary: Good magazine for nursing students
Comment: I am almost finished with the LPN program and I found this magazine very useful and helpful. Its another tool to learn more about diseases, nursing, and helps make classroom information more familiar.
The only downside is that it does take an extremly long time for the magazine to come (more than the 6-8wks of other magazines I have ordered) and they do send alot of past issues and then send a renew notice.
It is an attractive magazine, the pictures and illustrations are helpful and interesting to look at. So I would reccomend it to anyone in school :)

Comment: I was disappointed when Iordered a subscription that was to start in January 2007 and I received several magazines at once dating back to last summer. I feel half of my money went toward getting rid of their leftover copies. The magazine itself has good content.

Summary: BAD SERVICE
Comment: I have read so many comments about this publisher and the customer service they offer. As a recent nursing graduate, my father ordered me a gift subscription to AJN & Nursing Made Incredibly Easy in JULY. In one weeks time, AJN sent me April, May, June & July issues. Nursing Made Easy sent me Jan/Feb, March/April, May/June issues. This made me so upset! AJN had my subscription to expire in Mar & Nursing Made Easy had my ending in Jan/Feb. I called both magazines customer service (the number is printed in the front of both magazines) and they changed my subscription to expire in July (which is when it should have started & ended). I can't believe that these magazines do this. Everyone who has experienced these problems should call customer service and make them make it right!!!!!
