Customer Rating: Summary: Great bicycle cover for hybrid bikes Comment: My bike is a hybrid which means it is like a cross between a cruiser and a mountain bike. So, it is difficult to find a bike cover that covers it completely. This bike cover is great in that it is big, heavy, and sturdy enough to stay on the bike. For the majority of the time I have no problems whatsoever. However, sometimes we have some real freaky rains here in Florida and it is impossible to keep the bike from collecting water inside the tarp (when the rain is coming from every direction-I kid you not). I'm still trying to figure out how to avoid this one small pitfall.
Customer Rating: Summary: works okay Comment: It's sort of like a modified grill cover for a bicycle. Initially it was easy to get on and off when it was stiff, but as it loosened up it became more difficult to use on a daily basis. Does the job, however.
Customer Rating: Summary: Really, all these good reviews? Comment: After reading all these good reviews, I bought 2 of these covers for my two mopeds. I have to say that after a few months im very very disappointed. While I dont think this cover would have any problem withstanding rain, it doesnt do well at all with heat/sunshine at all. Both my covers started deteriorating after sitting outside for less than 3 months in the San Diego sun (i will post a photo shortly). The covers are literally coming apart at the seams and the outer shell has started cracking.
do I expect more? why yes I do. There are a number of bike and motorcycle covers here in the same lot as mine and none of them are having these issues. This product should really be renamed *Dust Cover*.
Customer Rating: Summary: pretty good cover Comment: This is not a flimsy vinyl plastic cover nor is it leather-like coverage - its in-between and just right. It fits my classic road bike very well and provides coverage all the way down to the ground almost even though I have a tall 27 inch frame. I'm not too enamoured about leaving my bike outside, as I am concerned about accelerating its rusting. We'll see how this works out. Otherwise, this cover is a good value for the money, fits properly and will keep away the bad weather. Perhaps a fully zippered breathe-able fabric cover might be the best? I have not seen one. Lacking that, this one is a very good one and definitely worth the $20.
Customer Rating: Summary: Protects my new bike Comment: I purchased this cover for my new bike - I recently had to throw out an old Huffy b/c it had been exposed to the elements for 4 years and was no doubt completely ruined. The cover was a little snug to get over the handlebars of my Trek 3700 but I eventually got it over and just in time too b/c it rained that night. It was great to have piece of mind knowing my new bike was protected from the rain. The bottom of the cover features some velcro patches so you can close the cover at the bottom...I haven't really used them at this point in time but they may be more useful when I've purchased a bike stand - either way, it's nice to have that option.
