This has worked really well for me -- I have normal-to-dry skin, a little oily sometimes around the T-zone. I first remove my makeup using my cream cleanser (Alba Botanical Hawaiian Coconut Milk Facial Wash, in case you're interested), then follow up with a tea tree pad. The pad picks up any pore-deep dirt and makeup that my cleanser might miss. I don't rinse my face afterward, just moisturize. My skin feels wonderfully clean and fresh, and any blemishes or scratches I might have on my face heal much faster. I use them to wash my neck, as well. Great product! I'd spent hundreds of dollars on trying out new products. I tried this product...what did I have to loose except for a few bucks. It has totally cleared up my face! Customer Rating: Summary: Great Daily Cleanser Comment: Hi, I didn't read the other reviews yet. I use this every morning. My skin is normal to dry and it can be sensitive. I prefer to avoid soap on my face; it seems to dry. This Desert Essence does the job of cleaning well and has never left my skin feeling dry. Obviously I would not use it to remove make up. I only use mascara and I wash that off with a wash cloth easily since I do not use waterproof mascara. The Desert Essence smells very strong but I find it to be very gentle on my skin. I usually cleanse my neck front and back and love that it seems to get deep into pores. I usually steam my face with a hot towel before I use it as well. Anyway, it works for me. I imagine as tea tree oil is supposed to be a natural disinfectant that it kills any germs or bacteria as well. Then I moisturize well. No problems. I also like it because it is economical. Let's face it the expensive cleansers only stay on a few seconds. I'd rather spend on a good moisturizer. Hope this is helpful to any one concerned.
