Comment: It works pretty well. It seems a bit underpowered, maybe because the vacuum is sucking up some juice. The vacuum sucks up about 3/4 of the cut hair, so there is still some cleaning to do. Overall, i think it's a good buy.

Summary: Never mind the doubters - Excellent product
Comment: I bought one of these about 6 years ago and have loved it from day one. Time was finally catching up on it though, the battery was pretty much useless. I came online to find one just like it. I do not like the style of any of the newer trimmers out there. I found one here and it works great. It's only slightly different/updated from my original.
As far as the comments about the trimmer/guard not staying in position? I have not had this problem with either of the two that I have owned. Maybe they are just pressing WAY too hard.

Summary: Does what it should - a good value
Comment: I never had a beard before (I'm 75) so I wanted a trimmer that would let me control the length and shape of my facial hair. I checked reviews of the Philips Norelco T970 trimmer and they were very good, but not uniformly excellent. My experience has been that the trimmer was underrated - it's outstanding in every sense - does what it's supposed to do very well, has easy and useful controls and is no noisier than an electric shaver. I'm delighted with it!

Summary: On time shipping, low price. Item builds up more static than older model.
Comment: I owned an older model T850 and it was great. Lost it.
Now I "upgraded" to this model and works the same except that it
builds up static and some of the hairs stick to the side of the unit.
So it will require a bit more cleaning.

Summary: Does what it says and does it well
Comment: If you want a good trimmer that allows you to keep your beard at a length longer than stubble this is the one. Vacuum works reasonably well but, as my beards white, it's hard to say how much hits the sink. All-in-all, I'm very satisfied.
