Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: problem solved! Comment: I received my original order in a timely manner. However, when my eyeliner pencil arrived, the packaging was inadequate and the pencil was bent. It was useable, but I didn't know if it would survive sharpening. I let Makeupforever know about it and they responded immediately, saying they would replace the pencil with no charge. Voila! I have received the replacement pencil, which was packaged in a well padded envelope. I am a happy customer and will order from Makeupforever again. Customer Rating: Summary: I bought 8 for myself and 2 each for 2 of my teenage daughters Comment: I got this product only because I had a beach trip planned and needed an eyeliner that wont smudge or budge. It didn't. I loved it so much, I came back from the trip and bought 7 more. The turquoise blue is really bright and pretty, the purple is sexy without being too dark, the white is great for the inner lid (the slippery part under your eyes) because it brightens your eyes. I even got the Pink eyeliner and use it as a lip pencil, because it also doesn't budge nor dry out your lips (like most long wearing lipsticks) All in all, I got the black, purple, turquoise, pink, light green, white, bronze and brown. The light green though is too light, but all of them really can last all day ( i live in a tropical country so smudging happens often.) My daughters loved them too so I had to buy them 2 each! My faves are the black, turquoise, purple and brown and white. Really good! Customer Rating: Summary: The only eyeliner you will ever need! Comment: I have been using the Black Aqualiner for a few years now and there is not a better eyeliner on the market. The black color is so dark and it stays put. These eyeliners are somewhat like a gel, so you do go through the stick fairly fast since the tip will wear down faster, but there is no wasted product. It is waterproof and it does not smear or end up all over your face. It is great for dramatic looks since it is a true black liner, but it can also be smudged or made more subtle. This is the only black eyeliner I will buy. The other colors are great too, but I do buy other brands of other colors. You must buy a Make Up Forever sharpener though if you want the best results. It is the only sharpener that I have found that sharpens these pencils right (due to the gel form). Other sharpeners will just end up damaging the eyeliner. Customer Rating: Summary: It seems to smudge- dark brown Comment: I bought the dark brown colour. I use it on my upper eyelid and it still smudges after a few hours. I was very disappointed. Customer Rating: Summary: Pearly Brown not for Dark Brown Eyes! Comment: I purchased this pencil in Pearly Brown after reading all the glowing reviews on Amazon and Sephora web sites. The biggest mistake I made was not to try it on first. I have dark brown eyes and a light olive complexion. Pearly Brown is not a dark brown. It is a medium brown with an odd orangey metalic sheen. It is not becomming as a liner for either my upper or lower lids. It probably looks good on someone with a light complexion and hazel or green eyes. If your eyes are dark brown, this is not a good color choice for you. On a positive note, the consistancy of the pencil is nicely creamy and it glides on smoothly. I have not had a chance to check its longevity or ability to withstand tears and perspiration as it did not look good enough on me to leave it on. Make Up For Ever is a very good company with a wide assortment of quality products and fairly conservative colors. Somewhat atypically, it's Aqua Eyes pencils come in an assortment of odd but "fun" eye colors like bright metallic purple and turquoise. I recommend you try before you buy.
