Comment: its windows XP. its not vista. XP means it doesn't take too much to run it, which for my old little laptop, is a good thing. 'nuff said.

Summary: Question? Does this come with Microsoft Office?
Comment: I can't find a place to ask questions but I am wondering if this comes with Microsoft office on it or would I have to buy that separate? Also, If you buy it used can you use it if it needs a password from Microsoft or are they going to say its been used already and you can't download it?

Comment: I needed a version of Windows to go with my Mac and chose XP due to my familiarity. It is the typical Window OS and I didn't need the features of the Pro version so this was the best alternative. I never considered Vista due to all the horror stories. It does the job for me on the few Windows programs I have where there is not a suitable or Mac version available.

Comment: I am a Mac user. I only got this because my old PC died. I need to run a few Windows programs and this was cheaper than buying a Vista Computer. So I bought XP and I am running it on my Mac. I purchased XP instead of Vista because of all the nightmarish stories I have heard about compatibility with software and printers. And I have no faith that Windows 7 will be any better.
It took three tries but I got it to install. Just make sure you have the latest version of Boot Camp on your Mac before installing or else Microsoft's Service Pack 3 wont install. Under boot camp I have complete compatibility and everything works as intended. I actually made it work for three days before I got my first blue screen of death. What can I say? It's Windows.
