Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Great Pepperment Smell, but Does not work Well for Pest Control Comment: I am sure this product is great as Aromatherapy, and it is a big bottle for the price, but it did not work well ridding my house of mice. The peppermint tooth past smell seemed to have no effect. Amazon pushes this use by packaging this product with pest control, but it does not work. Customer Rating: Summary: peppermint oil Comment: I removed everything & used strong soap to clean all my cabinet drawers, even those which had no mice droppings. After the drawers were rinsed of all soap & set out to completely dry, I actually soaked the drawers top, bottom & sides w/this stuff. Smelled good. Didn't work at all. I think mice are actually drawn to the smell as I saw droppings right afterwards in them. All that work for nothing! After putting in my good old battery operated mouse trap, I started catching them right away. Customer Rating: Summary: treatment fo mice Comment: I read somewhere on the internet that 1oz of peppermint oil mixed with 1 liter of water can be safely sprayed around the house to discourage mice from living and nesting. So far it really works! I even tried it at the family camp which is in the woods and wide open to mice. Since I sprayed 2 weeks ago there have been no sign of the critters. Better than mouse traps and smells nice too. I would be interested if it works for other people too. Cheap enough also. Customer Rating: Summary: Good smelling deterrent Comment: This really is a great smelling mouse deterrent, one reviewer recommends replacing the peppermint doused cottonballs once a month I've found that I need to do it more frequently like once every two weeks and since that is so frequent and hard to keep up with I purchased once of those mouse packs with the long lasting peppermint and spearmint leaves that require less freq change.That's the only reason I gave three stars instead of four, it's the high frequency of changing the cotton balls require, but its better than having to deal with traps and the nasty little critters.
