I was experiencing horrible break-outs on my cheeks and chin in my early 30's and decided to finally see an aesthetician. Having sensitive skin meant that I could not endure benzyl peroxide, intense glycolic peels, or even microdermabrasion. Her answer was to treat me with a series of mild lactic acid peels and have me follow a regimen of Dermalogica products, including Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant. After 6 weeks of treatment, my skin stopped breaking out and healed. After 10 weeks of treatment, my skin evened out and I my scars were barely noticeable. At 12 weeks, I could leave the house without any make-up and no one would have ever guessed I had acne. I have continued using Dermalogica products and I notice a difference when I am not using the Microfoliant as my skin feels rougher than usual and I get small breakouts on my chin. I don't always have to use it every day but it is gentle enough so that I could if I wanted to. Comment: I was prescribed this among other products when I was having breakouts (not acne) and needed something desperately. I heard about a store called Dermal Clinic in my country that had a "skin mapping" type of thing. I felt my breakouts were unique and this would be perfect to help me. After the lady told me my skin problems she prescribed me about 4 or 5 products. I was skeptical bcz they were so expensive. I went home and started using them. I saw major differnces! My skin was improving greatly. I was amazed! About a few months went by where I got lazy doing all that work, using 5 products, but a few weeks ago I started using the Daily Microfoliant (and only that) again. In 2 days my skin was brighter, softer, it was just unbelivable!! I am addicted to this and know I will be using this to the day I leave this earth! And what will make you love this even more is even though its costly it will last you very long. Why? I have been using it for a couple weeks now and have noticed that it doesnt even perform as well as Biore's over the counter exfolliant.
