I tried to contact Farouk to get a replacement but the warranty is void for straighteners purchased over the internet. However the good news is that Amazon will replace the product. To save yourself the hassle of all of this, I recommend you purchase a straightener from another brand. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Upgrade Comment: My girlfriend's classic chi blew a couple of months ago so I decided to surprise her with the chi turbo. After reading reviews I found that the chi turbo is great for women with thick and/or a lot of hair. I don't know the specifics of straightening hair, but I do know TIME. Her hair is the way she wants it in about half the time it took her with the classic chi. I've also noticed her hair stays straight for a longer period of time. She was happy with the classic chi, but she's even more happy with the turbo chi. Customer Rating: Summary: The BEST iron ever!
