An utter joy to watch Customer Rating: Summary: Swan Lake with Angel and Gillian is sheer joy Comment: Angel Corella is a mixture of long, lean lines, amazing technical skills, grace and a magnetic and inspiring stage presence. It is hard to think of anything he does as difficult because the ease of his movement is incredible. Gillian Murphy is like a feather, she just floats across the stage. She is so believable as Odette/Odile, both such opposite personalities. Her technical prowess is equal to her artistry. This is a timeless and beautiful ballet that can be enjoyed by new balletomanes as well as seasoned ones, young and old. A wonderful present for anyone who loves ballet. The look of this DVD is fresh and crisp with beautiful dancing by Gillian Murphy and Angel Corella superbly filmed from the stage with music by Tchaikovsky expertly play by the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra under the baton of Ormsby Wilkins. This performance is a credit to The American Ballet Theatre and will go down as one of the greatest Swan Lake's of all time.
