Customer Rating: Summary: More than enough Comment: Bought this to push two 12"s. Way more than i needed. install was simple. This would drown 2 15"s easy. A real bang for your buck. Ive read other (unhappy) reviews and can honestly come to the conclusion that they couldn't have hooked their system up correctly otherwise they'd be as satisfied as me.
Customer Rating: Summary: solid amp Comment: Bought this amp for myself. Sounds great and has plenty of power. Blew my first 2 subs(only 8 inch).
Just order 2 mor for my 01 S10 crewcab truck. hooked up my brothers 2 12" and was able to push both of them pretty well.

The Amp was for my son's Christmas gift and it powers a 10" and an 8 " Subwoofer! The car is now Thumping and Bumping!! Very Very happy with the purchase, value and performance!
Customer Rating: Summary: JUNK Comment: Very bad, very low grade Amps, worst i seen in awhile!!!
but there bandpass subbox rocks...
Customer Rating: Summary: Don't fall for the power rating! Comment: If you are reading this, you have probably been seduced by the high wattage rating stated, as I was. This amp delivers no where near 1400 W or 700 W/channel. The RMS ratings, which are not published anywhere on the web, are 80W X 2 @ 4 ohms, 140W X 2 @ 2ohms, 160W X 1 @ 4ohms bridged. These are listed in the product manual included with the amp. The RCA input/outputs are chrome plated not gold as advertised. Pyle recommends using 4AWG wire for power supply but has mickey mouse 4mm spade type terminal connectors for all wire connections. The bass boost switch should be labeled "Instant Distortion Mode", and is totally useless. I can not separate whether or not the poor sound is from the amps or subs. They are all Pyle products. And one would think the amps and subs are a good match. However, the subs do have positive reviews and the amps do not. I have also played around with the amp settings in an effort to improve the sound quality and it only gets worse.
I have two of these amps pushing two Pyle PLCHW10 DVC subs in a Bass Slammer non-ported enclosure. They are wired one amp per sub, bridged, with 4 ohm load. The amps are fed by a 4AWG power lead, through a 70 amp fuse, direct from the battery, through a 2 farad capacitor. The capacitor and amps do not share a common chassis ground and are both well grounded. For speaker wire i'm using 6AWG stranded. I had to fabricate custom copper terminal ends (I'm a machinist) to adapt the heavy wires to the dinky terminal connectors on the amps. I have a Sony head unit connected to the amps with Street Wires RCA cables in a 93 Civic 4 door.
Yes it's loud. But I was expecting to blow the rear window out of my car with this. It's not clear at volumes where you start to feel the bass. The distortion is terrible at higher volumes. But on the other hand, I paid less then $300 for the amps, subs, capacitor, and enclosure. If you are on a budget and want to impress others with numbers then this is a good deal. If I had this to do over I would get a better name brand amp, with lower but realistic power ratings.
