Summary: Excellent, solid, reliable
Comment: Even before using this trimmer, it has the look of lasting for a long time. The bottom half swivels, turning the cutting head on the top half. Admittedly, it is a little awkward at first using two hands to operate, but becomes second nature after a few tries.
I had a battery powered unit before this, which lasted maybe a year. Being made of solid stainless, I'm sure the Groommate, on the other hand, will last for several years, probably decades.
I'd definitely rate the Groommate a solid buy!

Summary: So far, this one is the best
Comment: This is only the third nose hair trimmer that I have ever purchased. My first was a Panasonic that wasn't bad at
the beginning but seemed to get tired. It eventually became pretty dull and kept on yanking at my hairs instead
of cutting them. The 2nd trimmer was a tweezerman that looked like a cross between tweezers and a pair of scissors.
I found that trimmer to be very awkward to use and sometimes a little too painful.
My friend suggested the Platinum XL nose trimmer to me so I purchased one off of this website and after a few months I have to
say that I really like it. It took a little getting used to but I really don't think that it will ever fail me.
It has a quality feel to it and simple operation and comes with a lifetime warranty.
Cleaning it is easy but after a lot of use I would suggest removing the small screw on the side of the trimmer and
soaking it in rubbing alcohol and then rinsing it out completely. I have used Marvel mystery oil or Vaseline to re-lubricate
the two stainless steel parts that make up the trimmer and it is as good as new. I expect this trimmer to last a very
long time. No more clogging the landfills with batteries either.
So, if my opinion counts for anything, go out and get yourself one. You won't be sorry you did. Happy grooming!!!!!

Summary: Perfect grooming device
Comment: I received this trimmer as a gift recently. I think that the friend
who sent it to me thought that it was a "gag" gift and that they were
trying to be funny! But I got the last laugh because this very
ingenious device has been a joy to use and is keeping my nostrils
looking better than ever before.
It is no longer a pain to trim my nose hair. I gave up on electric
trimmers and have been using my handy safety scissors with mixed
results. But the Groom Mate trimmer is so simple to use and well
made that I am wondering why it took me so long to get one.
Clean up is pretty easy; you simply hold it under running water
to rinse out the hairs.
I would recommend this trimmer highly and don't be afraid to
give it as a gift...your friends and co-workers will
thank you...maybe!

Summary: This is an awkward hair PULLER, not a trimmer
Comment: I went off of all the good reviews and bought this a few months ago. I regret the purchase. It is VERY tough to clean out and it does pull on hairs rather than cut them about half the time. I don't like it. I can't imagine how someone came up with this design and why so many people like it. It's not very precise and it's just awkard to operate. Rather, it takes a lot of time and effort to do what small scissors/trimmers can do.

Comment: When I got this, thought it would be battery operated. You manually twist back and forth to get the desired result. Works good, nice construction. Much better than any battery operated unit I have used before, remington or panasonic.
